3D Heart Flower Card (with flower template) – Valentines and Mother’s day craft idea

This tutorial will show you how to create an amazing 3D heart flower card, perfect as a Mother’s Day card and a Valentine’s Day card.
Simple and sweet, this DIY card will brighten up everyone’s day.

How to make a 3D heart flower card
What do you need:
our printable template (optional)
construction paper in different colors (we printed our model on Astrobright’s starburst white, which has a nice feel)
the scissors
glue
pencil

Step by step instructions
Print our model (optional). We printed ours on white paper, as half of the model serves as a card.

Cut out the pieces from the template.

Fold the card in half and set it aside.

Trace the shape of the heart onto floral colored construction paper – red, pink or purple works best for this project.
You will need a few heart shapes, you can make as few as 4, but the more the better.

Also draw an outline of the stem (1x) and leaves (2x) on green paper (you can use two shades of green).

Take the card base. Apply glue to the stem and glue it to the card.
Do the same with the leaves and one of the hearts.

Fold the other ear in half.

Apply glue to the heart of the card.

Glue two folded hearts on top of the heart on the card.

Repeat until only one heart remains.

Apply glue all over the heart again, unfold the last heart and glue it to the two halves.

Press down so the glue sets.

Finished! Your 3D Heart Flower Card is complete.
