After visiting the Shrine of Hades, Achilles can climb down the nearby ladder and continue following the path to trigger a cutscene. Hector will emerge to challenge Achilles, and the boss fight will start as soon as the cutscene ends. When Hector isn’t attacking, he will keep his shield up making it impossible for players to deal damage. There are a few different attacks that Hector can perform, including an unblockable strike indicated by a red symbol above his head. Since blocking with the shield won’t work, when the red symbol appears, players need to quickly roll out of the way.
The first boss that players kill in Achilles: Legends Untold can also call in an arrow barrage, jump up and slam down, or perform quick attacks. As soon as Hector begins or ends an attack, he will be vulnerable. The easiest times to attack are when Hector calls for arrows or slams down.
