Animal Crossing’s Next Game Must Have A Better Brewster’s Roost
Players of Animal Crossing deserve to at least have a Brewster’s Roost with the play options they were given in New Leaf. New Leaf gave players an opportunity to customize their own coffee; players can only add pigeon milk to coffee in New Horizons, at their own risk. Players also had an opportunity to earn bells by working in Brewster’s Roost. The next Animal Crossing game needs to give players at least this much content, but preferably more.
Brewster’s Roost has so much potential that hasn’t been tapped into yet. The next Animal Crossing game could give players more options when it comes to what they order from Brewster and allow players to interact more with the NPCs and villagers that are visiting the Roost. A mechanic could even be added allowing a player’s past villagers to show up at the Roost for a coffee and a catch-up visit, or have potential villagers visit like they do with the campsite.
Giving players the option to work at Brewster’s Roost would also be a great minigame-style addition to Animal Crossing, offering a new way for ACNH players to earn bells aside from fishing and catching bugs, in addition to giving another avenue for players to interact with all of their villagers. Brewster’s Roost could also have its own gyroid display or museum. Players are told about Brewster’s love of gyroids, but there is only one other reference in New Horizons to this, in the form of a gift from Brewster to the player.
Brewster’s Roost is an adorable concept and great addition to Animal Crossing: New Horizons; however, it can definitely be expanded upon in the next Animal Crossing game. Brewster has many fans and any expansion to his services would likely be welcome by Nintendo players. The next Animal Crossing games needs to have Brewster step up his game and offer players more.
