Batwoman Would Make Gotham Knights So Much Better

If Batwoman were to show up in Gotham Knights, it would probably be a position of authority similar to her role in Detective Comics Rebirth. Being older than the rest of the team and an experienced hero in her own right, she would be a good leader for the squad. Even if she isn’t in the field with the rest of them, she can act as mission control and make sure that the Knights know what they need to be doing. She would be the one deciphering the clues that the team collects in order to solve the mysteries surrounding Bruce Wayne’s suspicious death in Gotham Knights and the city’s subsequent descent into crime. In a way, she could probably take the role that Batman himself once held for Gotham.
Bringing Batwoman into Gotham Knights would also be a boost for a traditionally underappreciated character. Aside from the recent Batwoman TV series, Kate has not had many chances to cross over into other forms of media. In addition, Kate is an out lesbian and one of DC’s most prominent LGBTQ+ characters, and she could provide some excellent representation if added to the game. By featuring Kate as the confident, competent, and skilled leader that she is, she could stand as a fantastic example of an LGBTQ+ superhero. There are many heroes apart from Batman Gotham Knights should include, but Kate Kane should be at the top of the list.
Batwoman is not only one of the most skilled members of the Bat Family, but a tough and respected one as well. If there was anyone to lead the heroes of Gotham City after Bruce’s departure, she is the perfect candidate for the job. When it comes to characters who should be a part of Gotham Knights, Batwoman should be first in the conversation.
