In its blue colorway (black is also available) it sort of channels the spirit of Dead Space’s Isaac and his engineer’s suit – but inverted with the luminous light blue and industrial-looking finish and structure on the chair’s rear. It is a cool look, for sure, and the rest of the chair in black, but accentuated in that blue tone, finishes the aesthetic. The chair doesn’t require any construction – a means to ensure quality, surely – and is easy to adjust and knockabout into your desired position with intuitive controls and simple but noticeable changes. And when you do have it in position, then you will be treated to ergonomic brilliance and supreme comfort. The seat is probably the most comfortable one we’ve ever tested, the back is supportive – there is no headrest but the back still supports the shoulders – and the arms are positioned perfectly.

It has a slightly wider footprint and wheelbase which is something just to be aware of, but is no major factor – in fact, it adds greater stability, weight distribution, and balance. The other ‘downside’ and elephant in the room is the price tag which puts this chair at the same price point as some pretty competent PCs and laptops. However, Herman Miller has long stood by the fact that your physical health and posture are worth investing in, and premium ergonomics are the means to do so. After testing this chair we might well agree – this really is an advert for gaming chairs being somewhere you should definitely save for and spend on when considering a whole gaming setup.

Everything is accounted for with the PVC leatherette to the snakeskin backrest, and lean green stitching which adorns every jagged edge here. In our testing, we’ve found this chair to be incredibly comfortable and still one of the chairs that we find ourselves usually frequently.

The standard Razer Iskur X model accommodates a decent range of sizes, with a max claimed height and weight of 6ft2 and 299lbs respectively. We’ve found in our testing that people standing both below and above this quoted rate still felt supported by the chair due to its taller backrest, but if you are someone pushing 6ft3 and up, you may want to turn your attention to the XL model. If you can live without the adjustable lumbar support of the first iteration, with the trade-off being a far more affordable chair, then we can heartily recommend this model to most people.

We’ve spent a lot of time in these chairs, working by day, then pulling that recline lever to chill out in front of the TV or staying put at our desk for some gaming. The 2020 Secretlab Titan is also on its way out now that the Titan Evo series has landed. The newer version sports an improved lumbar support system that can be moved up and down instead of just in and out. Expect prices to be much lower on this model than the Evo line, but stock might dry up fast now if you want to grab a bargain on what was the best gaming chair for taller folk for a few years. This Titan and the XL model, are still great for larger frames and taller people with a recommended height between 5’9″ and 6’7″. The wider seat ditches the hard vertical edges found on the Secretlab Omega too and is much better for sitting in more relaxed positions.
You get a removable memory foam head cushion, but unlike the Omega, you don’t get a lumbar support one too. Instead, a dial on the side of the chair adjusts built-in lumbar support. We prefer the cushion in all honesty as this built-in version feels a lot harder, although it still does a great job. Otherwise, the chair is the same as the excellent Omega model with 4D armrests and a fantastic set of recline features that make this a great chair for work and play at the desk and also very well-suited to being rolled out in front of the TV too.
Secretlab offers a wide range of colors and styles to choose from in the Titan range and you can see them on the official Secretlab website. If you need something that will support extra weight and height, then you might want to take a look at the Titan XL range there too.

The Respawn Specter is our top choice for the best mesh gaming chair that you can get right now and this is for several key reasons, namely the level of ergonomic comfort on display and the aggressive $299.99 pricing of this model. 
One look at the design of the Respawn Specter and you’ve pretty much got the mesh chair all figured out. While we won’t go so far as to call it elegant, we found that this model married up an equal level of practicality with its decidedly minimalist design. However, it’s in the physical build of the chair that our one major criticism comes into the fold; weighing in at just shy of 50 lbs, this is far from the lightest gaming chair that we’ve had to assemble in our time which made the build process a little less than ideal in places with a few troublesome screws creating a little frustration here and there.

The ergonomics themselves are incredibly accommodating as well, as we spent many 6-8 hour work and gaming sessions inside the Respawn Specter with very little to complain about. ‘4D’ armrests that can be adjusted in any direction don’t hurt either, of course. The memory foam cushion and lumbar support is equally welcome. In short, this is a fantastic product from a very respectable name.

In our testing, we found that this decision was ultimately for the best as the Noblechairs Hero is still one of the best on the market for those after something a little more reserved. 
You’re looking at around 40 minutes to put the Noblechairs Hero together, which is on par with some of the other best gaming chair models from premium manufacturers. However, if you’re new to building units like this, then we would generally recommend setting an hour aside, and having help from a friend or family member if available. We found the instructions to be very clear, coming with its own tools, too.

The only real drawback we can tell us is that the headrest and supportive lumbar cushion could prove too big if you’re under 5ft10 (178cm). Make no mistake, this is a gaming chair solely marketed at those who are taller and heavier than average, so if you fall short of this height range then you’re going to need to look elsewhere. Still, if you’ve struggled finding the right level of support, then you’re going to be very happy with what the T-Pro 2 Series offers for its $550 / £450 MSRP.

The building experience here for us proved trickier than some gaming chairs that we’ve put together in our time, with some screws proving a little frustrating, especially when trying to line up the attachment arm into place. The backrest gave us a few moments of frustration, however, it was nothing insurmountable. We recommend having another pair of hands to help out with steading the back to the mount if possible.
In terms of branding, that much should be apparent in everything from its name to the color scheme, it’s Fnatic all the way here. No doubt, this gaming chair is going to appeal to those who keep up with the Counter-Strike pro gaming scene, but even if you’re not a fan as it were, we’re impressed by the slick black and orange two-tone ethos on display. We’ll admit, the AndaSeat Fnatic Edition is one of the brand’s more expensive chairs at $450 / £399.99, however, it’s an easy recommendation for anyone interested in a high-end E-sports-themed gaming chair.

Priced at $799, the Neuechair isn’t cheap, but we think that the asking price is justified through the excelling with its durability and quality that few gaming chairs can match even four years after its initial introduction. 
The design is the first thing that’s likely to leap out at you as far as Neuechair is concerned. We found this chair to be far from bland, and definitely on the understated side of the spectrum, with the ADC12 aluminum alloy frame providing a firm and sturdy level of support here. In short, it’s a solid piece of industrial design through and through, perfectly marrying up both form and function across the board in our experience. 
As far as the assembly process goes, the Neuechair comes in two main pieces, just shy of rolling out of the box ready to go. You’ll find the back and the seat fully assembled, as all the components and levers are already in place. The only assembly needed on your part, therefore, is to connect those two pieces together and push those caster wheels into the base itself, though the latter may be easier said than done.

We found that adding the casters to the wheelbase was quite difficult, requiring much more force than was typically expected of a premium gaming chair. We had to double-check we weren’t missing a trick here, though, after putting a bit more effort in, the wheels did click into place – your experience could vary.
The Neuechair features fully adjustable armrests as well as a recline lock that can hold you in a position which is perfect for you. It may take a few minutes of fiddling about with to get right, at least it did for us, but once figured out, you’ll find the Neuechair’s mesh body providing a level of support that no typical office chair can compare to. Everything about the Neuechair exudes durability, strength, and quality, so if you’re after an office-style chair that will last the ages, you could do far worse for your money.

You can tell that a lot of thought has gone into this one; odd though it may sound, it’s a pleasure to sit in. We’d expect nothing less from the likes of Corsair.
The perforated cushioning is also a big selling point. This helps keep you cool and allows the chair to ‘breathe’, meaning it won’t trap heat and reduce you to a boiling, sweaty mess. The rollerblade-style wheels allow the T2 to move across any surface without leaving a mark, too – perfect if you have lino flooring. Additionally, the steel skeleton underneath means it isn’t a five-minute wonder. The Road Warrior is built to last.

AndaSeat’s Jungle 2 Series promises to deliver a new class of comfort into the gaming chair sphere and modestly achieves this goal well. The included footrest works well for what it is, though admittedly in our testing it wasn’t a feature that we made use of all too often. What we did take full advantage of, however, was the further reclining functionality. The chair itself was always stable and fully supportive no matter how far back the seat went, which is something to be commended to be sure. 
The AndaSeat Jungle 2 is priced somewhere between the company’s budget options and the flagship models the brand is most known for. This is reflected in the overall build quality. This philosophy extends out more so to the overall assembly of the chair, as the instructions weren’t always the clearest, and we encountered a few funny screws that had some real fight to them to align properly. We recommend two people to get this unit together. 
It should be noted, however, that this chair carries a maximum recommended height of 180cm (or 5ft11). As someone above this recommended height, the chair was still supportive in all the right places, however, the reclining and footrest functionality in tandem wasn’t ideal. If you’re above well above the 6-foot mark, you are going to want to look elsewhere for the right chair. 
Regardless, this gaming chair is very comfortable and features some of the nicest caster wheels we’ve ever seen on a unit of its spec, especially compared to others we’ve used in the past. If you’re after a well-priced and functional gaming chair, with decent aesthetics, then you can’t really go too far wrong with what the AndaSeat Jungle 2 provides for the asking price.

Secretlab has combined the old Titan and Omega series into the excellent Titan Evo 2022, which comes in three different sizes (small, regular, and extra-large) to cater to more gamers. We found in our testing that this chair replaced the hard raised edges of the original Omega model for a much more comfortable chair which meant you could sprawl out in it, too.
We also found that the new integrated adjustable lumbar support could be adjusted not only outwards, but also up and down, too, with the help of a magnetic headrest to attach at several heights. This meant that we could have a personalized level of comfort accommodating us, which is something that some other chairs can’t always rival.

In its blue colorway (black is also available) it sort of channels the spirit of Dead Space’s Isaac and his engineer’s suit – but inverted with the luminous light blue and industrial-looking finish and structure on the chair’s rear. It is a cool look, for sure, and the rest of the chair in black, but accentuated in that blue tone, finishes the aesthetic. This doesn’t look outlandishly ‘gamery’ too and is neat and tidy at any work desk.
The chair doesn’t require any construction – a means to ensure quality, surely – and is easy to adjust and knockabout into your desired position with intuitive controls and simple but noticeable changes. And when you do have it in position, then you will be treated to ergonomic brilliance and supreme comfort. The seat is probably the most comfortable one we’ve ever tested, the back is supportive – there is no headrest but the back still supports the shoulders – and the arms are positioned perfectly.

It has a slightly wider footprint and wheelbase which is something just to be aware of, but is no major factor – in fact, it adds greater stability, weight distribution, and balance. The other ‘downside’ and elephant in the room is the price tag which puts this chair at the same price point as some pretty competent PCs and laptops. However, Herman Miller has long stood by the fact that your physical health and posture are worth investing in, and premium ergonomics are the means to do so. After testing this chair we might well agree – this really is an advert for gaming chairs being somewhere you should definitely save for and spend on when considering a whole gaming setup.
It might just be the best gaming chair we’ve ever tested from a purely comfort and ergonomic point of view. If you’re able to invest in your gaming chair to promote and maintain your physical posture and health, then this is the chair to get.

Aesthetically, there’s very little that separates the Razer Iskur X from the flagship model, as this more affordable gaming chair is rocking the same gorgeous visual design and stellar build quality that the brand is known for. Everything is accounted for with the PVC leatherette to the snakeskin backrest, and lean green stitching which adorns every jagged edge here. In our testing, we’ve found this chair to be incredibly comfortable and still one of the chairs that we find ourselves usually frequently.

The standard Razer Iskur X model accommodates a decent range of sizes, with a max claimed height and weight of 6ft2 and 299lbs respectively. If you can live without the adjustable lumbar support of the first iteration, with the trade-off being a far more affordable chair, then we can heartily recommend this model to most people.

We’ve spent a lot of time in these chairs, working by day, then pulling that recline lever to chill out in front of the TV or staying put at our desk for some gaming. Height settings, 4D armrests, and a range of recline and rockback features make this one of the most versatile gaming chairs on the market for work or play.

If you’re looking for the best gaming chair but don’t want to break the bank, Brazen is an excellent place to start. Besides offering more affordable seats than most, Brazen deftly balances price with quality. They don’t feel cheap or nasty, and they provide a surprisingly comfortable experience no matter whether you’re working at home or gaming. 
The Brazen Puma is no different. Even though it’s on the short side, it’s excellently made and passes the comfort test with flying colors. Because it’s fitted with pleather and mesh over foam, it’s also cosy over long periods of time – more so than a few pricier alternatives we could name, actually.
Best of all, it’s easy to construct. The Puma took far less time to put together than the likes of an AndaSeat or Noblechairs unit, and that’s a welcome bonus.
Alright, so the branding is a bit much. But if you can see past that, the Brazen Puma is one of the best gaming chairs for those wanting to save money without compromising on comfort.

The 2020 Secretlab Titan is also on its way out now that the Titan Evo series has landed. The newer version sports an improved lumbar support system that can be moved up and down instead of just in and out. Expect prices to be much lower on this model than the Evo line, but stock might dry up fast now if you want to grab a bargain on what was the best gaming chair for taller folk for a few years. This Titan and the XL model, are still great for larger frames and taller people with a recommended height between 5’9″ and 6’7″. The wider seat ditches the hard vertical edges found on the Secretlab Omega too and is much better for sitting in more relaxed positions.
You get a removable memory foam head cushion, but unlike the Omega, you don’t get a lumbar support one too. Instead, a dial on the side of the chair adjusts built-in lumbar support. We prefer the cushion in all honesty as this built-in version feels a lot harder, although it still does a great job. Otherwise, the chair is the same as the excellent Omega model with 4D armrests and a fantastic set of recline features that make this a great chair for work and play at the desk and also very well-suited to being rolled out in front of the TV too.
Secretlab offers a wide range of colors and styles to choose from in the Titan range and you can see them on the official Secretlab website. If you need something that will support extra weight and height, then you might want to take a look at the Titan XL range there too.

The Respawn Specter is our top choice for the best mesh gaming chair that you can get right now and this is for several key reasons, namely the level of ergonomic comfort on display and the aggressive $299.99 pricing of this model. 
One look at the design of the Respawn Specter and you’ve pretty much got the mesh chair all figured out. While we won’t go so far as to call it elegant, we found that this model married up an equal level of practicality with its decidedly minimalist design. However, it’s in the physical build of the chair that our one major criticism comes into the fold; weighing in at just shy of 50 lbs, this is far from the lightest gaming chair that we’ve had to assemble in our time which made the build process a little less than ideal in places with a few troublesome screws creating a little frustration here and there. 

A low-profile gaming chair that looks as good as it feels

Powering through the process, however, you’re greeted with a comfortable gaming chair that essentially cradles your body, as opposed to the PU leather seats and thick backrests of more traditional models.
That mesh design also meant that the Respawn Specter kept cool, too. So there’s no worry of being stuck in the same way that leather (real or fake) can do to you. The ergonomics themselves are incredibly accommodating as well, as we spent many 6-8 hour work and gaming sessions inside the Respawn Specter with very little to complain about. If you’re after an understated chair that performs as good as it looks, then this one could be for you.

Thanks to a soft fabric exterior, the T3 Rush is very breathable – it doesn’t retain heat in quite the same way as leather (or imitation leather) alternatives. That means you can stay frosty in both senses of the word. And because Corsair are behind the product, you know it’ll last. That brand is one of the best in the business when it comes to PC gaming peripherals.
‘4D’ armrests that can be adjusted in any direction don’t hurt either, of course. The memory foam cushion and lumbar support is equally welcome. In short, this is a fantastic product from a very respectable name.

This is a solid, low-profile gaming chair that forgoes many of the features of some other models, such as cup holders and footrests, instead of choosing to focus on posture. In our testing, we found that this decision was ultimately for the best as the Noblechairs Hero is still one of the best on the market for those after something a little more reserved. 
You’re looking at around 40 minutes to put the Noblechairs Hero together, which is on par with some of the other best gaming chair models from premium manufacturers. However, if you’re new to building units like this, then we would generally recommend setting an hour aside, and having help from a friend or family member if available. We found the instructions to be very clear, coming with its own tools, too.

Instead of the usual PU leatherette design, the AndaSeat T-Pro Series 2 opts for a fabric design, with sleek and subtle colorways instead of more garish gamer designs. We found that the fabric was ultimately more comfortable than some leather-adjacent models we’ve used in the past, especially when hot weather comes around, as the T-Pro Series 2 proved itself just as cool to sit in as how it looks.
The only real drawback we can tell us is that the headrest and supportive lumbar cushion could prove too big if you’re under 5ft10 (178cm). Make no mistake, this is a gaming chair solely marketed at those who are taller and heavier than average, so if you fall short of this height range then you’re going to need to look elsewhere. Still, if you’ve struggled finding the right level of support, then you’re going to be very happy with what the T-Pro 2 Series offers for its $550 / £450 MSRP.

The same cannot be said for the headrest pillow, which we found to be a little hard and actually went without for the majority of our time with this model, though your mileage may vary.

The building experience here for us proved trickier than some gaming chairs that we’ve put together in our time, with some screws proving a little frustrating, especially when trying to line up the attachment arm into place. The backrest gave us a few moments of frustration, however, it was nothing insurmountable. We recommend having another pair of hands to help out with steading the back to the mount if possible.
In terms of branding, that much should be apparent in everything from its name to the color scheme, it’s Fnatic all the way here. No doubt, this gaming chair is going to appeal to those who keep up with the Counter-Strike pro gaming scene, but even if you’re not a fan as it were, we’re impressed by the slick black and orange two-tone ethos on display. We’ll admit, the AndaSeat Fnatic Edition is one of the brand’s more expensive chairs at $450 / £399.99, however, it’s an easy recommendation for anyone interested in a high-end E-sports-themed gaming chair.

Priced at $799, the Neuechair isn’t cheap, but we think that the asking price is justified through the excelling with its durability and quality that few gaming chairs can match even four years after its initial introduction. 
The design is the first thing that’s likely to leap out at you as far as Neuechair is concerned. We found this chair to be far from bland, and definitely on the understated side of the spectrum, with the ADC12 aluminum alloy frame providing a firm and sturdy level of support here. In short, it’s a solid piece of industrial design through and through, perfectly marrying up both form and function across the board in our experience. 
As far as the assembly process goes, the Neuechair comes in two main pieces, just shy of rolling out of the box ready to go. You’ll find the back and the seat fully assembled, as all the components and levers are already in place. We found that adding the casters to the wheelbase was quite difficult, requiring much more force than was typically expected of a premium gaming chair. We had to double-check we weren’t missing a trick here, though, after putting a bit more effort in, the wheels did click into place – your experience could vary.
The Neuechair features fully adjustable armrests as well as a recline lock that can hold you in a position which is perfect for you. It may take a few minutes of fiddling about with to get right, at least it did for us, but once figured out, you’ll find the Neuechair’s mesh body providing a level of support that no typical office chair can compare to. Everything about the Neuechair exudes durability, strength, and quality, so if you’re after an office-style chair that will last the ages, you could do far worse for your money.

A very handsome number that blends faux-leather with perforated cushioning, textured armrests with 4D movement, and lumbar support covered with microfibre, it’s a premium chair without the premium price tag. You can tell that a lot of thought has gone into this one; odd though it may sound, it’s a pleasure to sit in. We’d expect nothing less from the likes of Corsair.
The perforated cushioning is also a big selling point. This helps keep you cool and allows the chair to ‘breathe’, meaning it won’t trap heat and reduce you to a boiling, sweaty mess. The rollerblade-style wheels allow the T2 to move across any surface without leaving a mark, too – perfect if you have lino flooring. Additionally, the steel skeleton underneath means it isn’t a five-minute wonder. The Road Warrior is built to last.

AndaSeat’s Jungle 2 Series promises to deliver a new class of comfort into the gaming chair sphere and modestly achieves this goal well. The included footrest works well for what it is, though admittedly in our testing it wasn’t a feature that we made use of all too often. What we did take full advantage of, however, was the further reclining functionality. The chair itself was always stable and fully supportive no matter how far back the seat went, which is something to be commended to be sure. 
The AndaSeat Jungle 2 is priced somewhere between the company’s budget options and the flagship models the brand is most known for. This is reflected in the overall build quality. This philosophy extends out more so to the overall assembly of the chair, as the instructions weren’t always the clearest, and we encountered a few funny screws that had some real fight to them to align properly. We recommend two people to get this unit together. 
It should be noted, however, that this chair carries a maximum recommended height of 180cm (or 5ft11). As someone above this recommended height, the chair was still supportive in all the right places, however, the reclining and footrest functionality in tandem wasn’t ideal. If you’re above well above the 6-foot mark, you are going to want to look elsewhere for the right chair. 
Regardless, this gaming chair is very comfortable and features some of the nicest caster wheels we’ve ever seen on a unit of its spec, especially compared to others we’ve used in the past. If you’re after a well-priced and functional gaming chair, with decent aesthetics, then you can’t really go too far wrong with what the AndaSeat Jungle 2 provides for the asking price.
