Castle Morne walkthrough in Elden Ring

Despite its size, Morne Castle is not an inherited dungeon. You can skip it, but since you would miss a Stone Sword Keyseveral new weapons, the Double Bladed Talismanand much more, best made for a visit while you’re in the Weeping Peninsula area.
Use this Ring of Elden Guide to Morne Castle to make sure you don’t die (not many, at least) or run out of loot.

Ring of Elden‘s Castle Morne is not exactly an easy place to miss. Go to the Weeping Peninsula, follow the road south and you’ll see a massive castle appear right in front of you.
By the way: don’t let the stone giant scare you. Despite its size, it is a very weak enemy. Just cut off his ankles and continue your way to Castle Morne.

First, past the Elevator of the castle of Morne, site of grace, activate the elevator by pressing the pressure plate. This will take you to the first open area, which is filled with undead dogs and misbegotten. Castle Morne campfires are surrounded by smoking butterfliesa crafting material for making many fire-based items.
Before crossing the cleared area, go up the stairs directly to your left and kill the two undead dogs to collect a forging stone [2]. Continue your way past the corpses and shoot down the pumpkin head blocking your path. He will drop a Sanctuary Stone, forging stoneor Pumpkin Helm (which is rare). Beware of flying Misbegotten and don’t miss the corpse holding three Forging stones [1] to your left.

Before continuing up the main road to the ladder, consider climbing the pile of corpses first. It is enough to cut down some Misbegotten to be able to harvest the fire fat corpse hanging on the wall. There is a secret passage behind this corpse (see above) which will lead you to a room with a chest containing a Claymore.
Continue your tour of the castle and you will find several groups of lost and fighting soldiers. Sit back, relax, then finish off the survivors. Once you reach the higher stone walls, be sure to collect the Remedy for furlcalling fingers and steel torch some corpses.
After that you are back on the main road through Morne Castle. Defeat the Misbegotten on the stone walls in front of you, and don’t forget to pick up a golden rune [2] of the corpse in the middle. If you want extra loot again, don’t go to the campfire in front of you yet. There are two more areas to explore here, one on either side of the stone wall (scale one and two pictured).

Take the ladder to your right to find two Misbegotten (watch out, as one will appear from the sky) and a corpse holding two Forging stones [2]. Go down the second ladder to find another group of Lost and Soldiers in the middle of an argument. Finish off the survivors and collect them golden rune [2] after. Then go up the tower and talk to the NPC Edgarwho will give you the Sacrificial twig talisman.
Once you are done with all that, you can finally go to that cozy campfire and activate the campfire nearby. Behind the Castle site of grace (scrolling menu).

Descend from the cliffs to continue your adventure at Morne Castle. But be careful: instead of jumping on the roof with the gate door, go straight ahead. There is a wooden platform with a corpse holding a Stone Sword Key below.
In front of you, you’ll see a stone wall with lots of scared Misbegotten (you can stab them or ignore them, it’s up to you) and a tower in front of you. Before going there, be sure to enter the room with the spirit NPC in the cage on the right. Kill the Evildoers and loot the corpse for Pickled Turtlenecksbut watch out for Vase which will fall from the ceiling.
Now continue to the tower. After defeating the Misbegotten with the big axe, you can climb the tower to collect the Double Bladed Talisman. Go back down and jump on the roof on the right. Don’t miss the corpse with the three Tarnished Golden Sunflowers.
A little further, there is an opening in the ground. Make sure to jump on the wooden beams instead of just falling or you will die. Additionally, there is a corpse holding a forging stone on the first beam.
There are four Rats and a Misbegotten on the floor below you. If you prefer to play it safe, take them out with ranged weapons while you’re still out of range. After that, drop down to loot another corpse for a Whisk gun and get out. Don’t miss the Next to Grace Rampart Gaol site around the corner on your left!

To complete the last part of Castle Morne before the boss, cross the suspension bridge and take out the two sleeping Misbegotten. It is impossible to sneak up on them and they are quite difficult to defeat. Loot the corpse for eight throwing daggersthen go down the ladder.
Before entering the boss area, collect the loot lying around on the shore. Next to the tower, just around the corner, you will find a corpse with a dark forge stone [1]. Further on, a giant crab will appear in front of a small cave where you will find 15 fire arrows.
Morne Castle Boss: Leonine Misbegotten
In case you used some of your flasks while fighting the Misbegotten, here’s a tip: Now that you’ve got the loot, return to the Grace Site, collect a refill, and drop down the suspension bridge (by jumping over Sleeping Badly Spawned this time).

The boss of Castle Morne, the Evil Leonine, is a very fast physical damage dealer. It primarily relies on fast horizontal slash combos and jump attacks. The bad news: you probably won’t be able to keep your distance. The good news: these horizontal strikes can easily be parried. Leonine Misbegotten is strong against magic, lightning, and holy damage, but weak against Physical damage (especially slash).
Also important to know: you can use your spiritual invocations against this Ring of Elden boss. Upgrade use Lone Wolf Ashes is extremely useful, as they can distract the Misbegotten Leonine while you drain its HP.
As you land this final blow against the Leonine Misbegotten, you will be rewarded with a well-deserved Greatsword with grafted blade.
