Liverpool, meanwhile, could only draw 1-1 draw with Tottenham last week, a result that has seriously hurt their chances of winning the Premier League title and moving toward a historic quadruple. Besides the FA Cup and the Premier League title, Liverpool is also in contention for the Champions League crown, having already won the Carabao Cup.
Both sides have injury concerns going into this final, though Mateo Kovacic gets the start for Thomas Tuchel’s men. (Ngolo Kante will be on the bench to start the match.). Meanwhile, Liverpool midfielder Fabinho is definitely out of Jürgen Klopp’s side.
Up front, Romelu Lukaku gets the start for Chelsea, as the off-season’s big signing has (finally) started scoring again. He’ll be joined by Christian Pulisic in the starting lineup.
