Chick Toilet Paper Roll Craft – Easy Easter Craft Idea

Do you have a stack of paper rolls? Why not make a chick toilet roll, well or a dozen, as this is the perfect Easter toilet roll project.
We did two chick versions in this one, let’s say a sibling, one fully hatched and one just out of its eggshell.

We love frugal craft supplies, and toilet paper rolls (or paper towel rolls if you’re not a fan of toilet paper rolls) do the trick.
There are all kinds of fun activities kids can do with them, from crafts to learning games… This time, with Easter slowly approaching, we’re focusing on a crafty project – little chicks.

How to make a toilet paper roll chick
What do you need:
toilet paper roll (you can also use a paper towel roll or store kraft paper rolls – yes that’s a thing)
yellow paper or yellow paint
orange paper
eyes (rolling eyes or wide-eyed stickers)
optional: white card stock for the eggshell – I recommend Astrobrights Stardust white paper because it has flecks of color and looks so natural.

See step-by-step instructions
Start by yellowing your toilet paper roll :). You can do this by painting it yellow or wrapping it in yellow paper.
We’re going the paper route here. Cut a strip of paper the same width as the height of the toilet paper roll.
Apply glue to the strip of paper.
And stick it around the toilet paper roll.

If you are making a chick in the egg, cut a cracked eggshell – make its height a little less than half the height of the toilet paper roll.
Paste it on the roll of paper.
Cut the wings out of yellow paper.

Stick them on your toilet paper roll chick.
Cut a beak out of orange paper and glue it to your chick as well.
Last but not least stick on the eyes.
