How to make a Christmas tree out of tissue paper?
You will need:
- Canvas, any size
- Green, Blue, Yellow, Brown Tissue Paper
- key
- glue
- water in a spray bottle
step-by-step instructions
Cut or rip a large amount of green and blue tissue paper into small pieces. It doesn’t have to be uniform in size, it’s slightly smaller, no more than 2 inches.
You don’t need a lot of brown or yellow, just cut the yellow stars.
To help young children, you can easily trace the shape of a tree on a canvas with a pencil to provide general instructions to follow.
Sprinkle plenty of water on the canvas.
Have your child begin placing 2-3 layers of tissue in the wooden space. The thicker the tissue paper layer, the more intense the final color.
When you’re done greening the tree, have them add stars and stems.
Finally, fill all remaining white areas with blue.
When working with water, you may need to sprinkle with tissue paper or add water with a brush, but it will run off if it gets too wet.
Leave undisturbed for 20 minutes.
Gently peel off the tissue paper…
…until everything is cleared.
Wait for the water to finish drying the canvas.
Then your child can add color here and there and a button at the top to complete the tree.
You can also decorate it with stickers or other small, flat objects.
If possible, allow your child to add their name and date to the back. Otherwise, mom can do it.
You are done.
