Duplicate Cleaner has a 15-day free trial, after which you will have to pay to continue using it.

If you are using a different operating system, such as macOS or Linux, try the Duplicate File Finder.

Follow these steps to use the program and delete those duplicate files.

Put Duplicate Cleaner into Audio Mode. This setting specifically scans the metadata of audio files to find duplicate songs or pieces of music. To switch to this mode audio mode A tab above the main screen of the Search Criteria menu.

Use the folder list in the left pane to navigate to the location of your song library. Highlight the folder (or entire drive) you want to add, then arrow icon (white right arrow). If necessary, you can also double-click a folder to select a subfolder.

If you have your music stored in more than one location, add more folders in the same way.

Choose Start Scan Initiate a duplicate search.

When the process is complete, a statistics screen appears with a detailed report of the duplicates found by the program. Choose finish Continue.

Select the checkbox to the left of the duplicates you want to delete.

To also remove folders that don’t have anything inside them, ensure the Remove Empty Folders option is checked.

When you are happy with the way the duplicates will be removed, select Delete Files.
