How to make a Valentine’s Day card with roll paper roses?
Things you need:
- Colored Craft Paper – 4-5 colors including white
- Scissors (use scissors under adult supervision)
- craft glue
- pencil
- black maker pen
step-by-step instructions
Choose the color of the flower you want from the basket. Both craft paper and plain print paper work well. Also prepare green paper for the leaves.
You will need about 10 flowers, all of the same color or as colorful as you like. First, make the flowers. You can help yourself with the templates provided (you can get them at the end of this tutorial).
Cut the circle in a spiral. When done, start rolling the spiral. Start from the outside.
Roll it almost to the middle. When it’s almost centered, apply glue to the center and slide the center under the dried rose.
Hold it together for a while to allow the glue to dry.
Repeat with other flowers. Also cut out leaf shapes from green paper.
Cut a basket shape out of gray or brown construction paper and cut out small strips of brown construction paper. Glue the brown stripes perpendicular to the basket pattern.
Glue another layer of brown stripes horizontally over the vertical stripes. Even an experienced hobbyist can weave a piece of paper.
Glue the flowers to the top of the basket to create the basket pattern.
Don’t forget to add the leaves.
For a personal touch, cut out a small rectangle, write a note and stick it to the basket.
