Unlike the How To Train Your Dragon movie set in the Viking era, Dragons: Nine Realms It happens in modern society, cell phones, etc. Led by the adventurous Tom, a group of kids live with their scientist parents in a research center above the rift in the Earth. Tom discovers a rift leading to a hidden world full of dragons. He befriends the Thunder, a distant descendant of Toothless and Lightfury. Tom and the rest of the kids decide to keep the dragon a secret so that the heads of the research institute don’t abuse it.

The first season mainly focused on Tom and his friends meeting the dragon, but this new trailer received higher scores. There are more dragons, but more threats in every nook and cranny.
