Dreamlight Valley is a free-to-play mashup of Disney and The Sims
If you’ve always wanted to make your own magical Disney fantasy come true, Disney’s Dreamlight Valley will make it happen.
Created in a partnership between Disney and developer Gameloft, this new free-to-play simulation-adventure game challenges players to restore their town to its former glory. After a strange incident called “The Oblivion,” the town is in dire need of help and only you can help. Anyway, you and the cartoon character.
You must work with a variety of Disney and Pixar characters, including heroes and villains, to help them recover lost memories. In turn, they learn the mystery behind Dreamlight Valley and Oblivion as they remember who they are.
The more mysteries you discover, the more you can customize the lands you explore. Finally, build the town of your dreams and even decorate your avatar with Disney- and Pixar-themed accessories.
In many ways, Dreamlight Valley is similar to the popular mobile title Disney Magic Kingdoms. This game is another free adventure game in which the player is tasked with helping Disney and Pixar characters. Except for having to rebuild the Magic Kingdom instead of the village.
There are already tons of Disney mobile games out there, but Dreamlight Valley seems to change things a little by providing the most Sims-like experience ever. Some of the early scenes from the first trailer show interesting character interactions. You can go fishing with Goofy, explore with Ariel, and perform various missions with Disney characters in all stripes.
By purchasing a Founders Pack or becoming an Xbox Game Pass member, you can start playing early. Everyone who plays during Early Access will receive a set of “exclusive rewards” that will continue to be available after the game is fully released.
Expect Dreamlight Valley to land in Early Access on PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X this summer | S, Xbox One, Switch, PC and Mac. Completely free to play will be released in 2023. We don’t have an exact release date yet, so you might want to star.
