These easy DIY Christmas ornaments are great Christmas activities for toddlers and preschoolers because they focus on fine motor skills.
You can make this flashy or sticky. Everything depends on the choice of pompom.

This simple ornament is not difficult to make and requires very few materials. You don’t need to use pompoms at all, you can use virtually any scrap material you have at home.
It also requires very little preparatory activity, making it a perfect preschool Christmas craft. Give your kids a variety of fillers and plastic balls to choose from so they can create their own unique ornaments.
Combine this decoration with any of the following: DIY Christmas Cards And you have a nice kid as a Christmas present.
Easy DIY Christmas Decorations
What you need:
- filling plastic decoration
- pompom or other stuffing
- ribbon
step-by-step instructions
We made a ball out of a classic Christmas color combination, green and red “shiny” pompoms.
Open plastic ball decoration. If you work in a classroom, just give the kids a ball and keep the top part.
Have the children fill in the ornaments with ornaments or other materials. Buttons, strips of ribbon, and tissue paper are good options.
When they’re done, be sure to bring your ornaments so you can put your hats on them.
Tie a ribbon and you’re ready to hang your decorations.

When they’re done, have them bring the ornament to you so you can put the cap on.
Tie the ribbon up and the ornament is ready to hang.
