Send text, photos and videos
Messenger is basically an SMS app for one-to-one and group messaging, but you can also send photos and videos. It also comes with many built-in emojis, stickers and GIFs.
Some useful features included in Messenger are indicators when a person is typing, receipts delivered, read receipts, and timestamps of when the recipient last read a sent message and the time spent with the other person.
Just like Facebook, Messenger lets you respond to messages on both the website and the app.
Another advantage of sharing images and videos through Messenger is that apps and websites can collect all your media files and browse them quickly.
If you use Messenger with your Facebook account, all your private Facebook messages will appear here. You can delete, archive, and unarchive these texts to show or hide them in the persistent view.
Facebook added the ability to quickly swipe to archive chats in May 2021. You can also find archived conversations by going to: your profile > Archived chat.
Make an audio or video call
Messenger also supports voice and video calls on the mobile app, desktop version and Facebook page. The phone icon is for voice calls and the camera icon is for face-to-face video calls. Messenger’s calling feature over Wi-Fi allows you to make free internet calls using apps or websites.

You can send money via messenger using only your debit card information. You can do this on both the website and mobile app.
To use it, go to the conversation, open the menu, then select it. send money. You can send or request money. Alternatively, you can send a text with a price and then select to open a payment request or payment request. You can also add a brief note to the transaction to remind you of the purpose of the transaction.
