Fantastic Four: Everything we know so far about the MCU movie
The Fantastic Four is in development as Kevin Feige confirms that a new version of the story will be part of the future of the MCU. At the time, Marvel’s boss confirmed that Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm would join the group.
But Marvel’s first family, namely word of warning. This article contains: There are spoilers for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
The Fantastic Four had several film versions, including 2005 and 2007 versions starring Chris Evans and Jessica Alba. There was a more recent revival in 2017 starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara and Michael B. Jordan. However, thanks to Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox, the new version was the first one in which the superhero became part of a broader MCU.
Details have been relatively sparse since the announcement, but there have been a few updates over the past few months. Spider-Man’s John Watts, who originally directed the Fantastic Four movie, has confirmed his resignation. Fantastic Four release date
There is currently no release date for the Fantastic Four movie. Marvel announced that it was under development in 2019, but there was no confirmation of directing and casting, so we could wait a little longer. Release dates for several Marvel Phase 4 movies have been confirmed until mid-2023, and the Fantastic Four is not one of them. So it looks like the movie will only have an official date after that. We will let you know as soon as a release date for Fantastic Four is confirmed.
Fantastic Four Storyline
The plot of the Fantastic Four has yet to be confirmed by Marvel. We know the basic premise that is based on the manga and the origin story of the team. For those of you who don’t know, the quartet gained superpowers after being exposed to spacecraft on a scientific mission into space.
Because this origin story formed the premise for previous adaptations, Marvel could take a different approach to their next film. Also, studios tend to avoid traditional storylines in MCU movies. And given that the Fantastic Four first debuted in 1961, the directions they can go in are endless. There are also plenty of villains to introduce in the new movie, including Namor Silver Surfer, Galactus, Doctor Doom and KI’rt. They also had feuds in the past with Ronan the Accuser, played by Lee Pace in Captain Marvel and Guardians of the Galaxy.
The cast of Fantastic Four
Despite rumors, the cast of Fantastic Four has not been confirmed yet. Marvel hasn’t even announced whether the former star will return for a role in the next film. We will inform you as soon as the appearance of Fantastic Four is confirmed. But in the meantime, we’ve rounded up everything we know now about the main characters like Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grim.
Who will play Reed Richards? John Krasinski in Fantastic Four?
Reed Richards or Mister Fantastic is one of the founding members of the Fantastic Four. He is known for his expertise in engineering, extraterrestrial biology, chemistry and physics, and one of the smartest scientists in terms of superhero abilities. He is known for his stretching techniques. Who will play the role of the smartest man in Marvel?
we enter serious spoiler area Here, but those who have already seen Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will know that John Krasinski appears as Richards. He was a member of the Illuminati, a group of superheroes tasked with making decisions that would affect the multiverse. Along with Anson Mount’s Black Bolt, Haley Atwell’s Captain Carter, Lashana Lynch’s Captain Marvel, Patrick Stewart’s Professor X, and Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Mordo, he is part of the group that judges the multiverse behavior of Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). It was.
He appeared in a classic blue jersey with the Fantastic Four logo, described as “the smartest man”. Richards also mentioned his wife and their children, we can only guess. But there is a problem. He was brutally murdered by Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) within minutes of being introduced.
So it’s very difficult to guess whether Krasinski will play against Richards in the future. Of course, this is the multiverse we’re talking about, so it’s possible that Earth 616 has different versions of the character. But it remains to be seen if the Fantastic Four movie will focus on that, and if they will look like Krasinski. . The Doctor Strange variant resembles him, but Lokis and Spider-Man are both played by different people. Krasinksi looks likely to come back if we hedge our bets. He is a fan favorite huge Hollywood star. So this would be the last time we see him in a suit.
Mister Fantastic was previously played by two other actors: Ioan Gruffudd and Miles Teller. Gruffudd has previously ruled out a return to the role, telling Digital Spy that he’d rather be the villain. Teller was less determined and he told ComicBook.com that he wouldn’t mind returning to the world of superheroes. “I think the characters in the movie adaptation, the show, have come a really long way. And I think they’re starting to dig deep into the complexity of these characters,” he said.
Who will play Sue Storm? Will Emily Blunt play Sue Storm?
Sue Storm is another founding member of the Fantastic Four and the Invisible Woman, the wife of Mr Fantastic. After she is exposed to a spaceship, she has the ability to create invisible forces and force fields. In her previous film versions, Jessica Alba and Kate Mara played her. Although she did not share the desire for the actress to repeat her role, she did.
Fans have speculated that Krasinski’s real-life wife, Emily Blunt, could take on the role. She was notorious for having to turn down the role of Black Widow due to scheduling problems, which later went to Scarlett Johansson. And she and Krasinski have worked together in the past, starring in the movie A Quiet Place. However, Blunt has previously spoken of rumors based entirely on her fan casting. In an interview with the Howard Sternshow in 2020, she said, “It’s fancasting. No one answered the phone. People are just saying, ‘Isn’t that awesome?'”
Who will play Johnny Storm?
Johnny Storm is Sue’s younger brother who is also exposed to spaceships during missions. He develops the power to transform his body into a fiery plasma state. So far, there have been no rumors of a casting for this role. In the past, roles have been played by Chris Evans and Michael B. Jordan. After Evans takes on a huge MCU role as Captain America, it’s unlikely he’ll return to a role as the Human Torch. Jordan also appeared as a new MCU character playing Eric Killmonger in Black Panther. So we’re looking forward to a new casting for the role.
Who plays Ben Grim?
(Credit: Mike Wieringo/Karl Kesel/Paul Mounts (Marvel Comics))
Ben Grimm was an astronaut who traveled to space with his best friend Richards. However, his body reacted most to the cosmic rays, transforming him into a super-strong stone-like monster, Thing. Michael Chiklis played roles in the 2005 and 2007 versions, and Jamie Bell took over the roles in 2015. The two actors aren’t expected to reprise the role, but Chiklis has received some advice about his replacement. In an interview with Screen Rant, he said the costumes had to be “CGI.” “The closet was different, but it was still a pretty amazing experience,” he added.
Who will direct Fantastic Four?
When the Fantastic Four was announced, John Watts was signed to direct the film. The American filmmaker is behind Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home trilogy. However, he has now confirmed that he has retired from other superhero films.
He told The Hollywood Reporter, “Making three Spider-Man movies has been an amazing and life-changing experience for me. I am forever grateful to have been part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the past 7 years. I am confident we will work together again and We are looking forward to bringing the fantastic vision of the Fantastic Four to life.”
It has not yet been announced who will take the place, but some fans have been wondering if Krasinski will be able to participate. The director, who turned from actor to director, was praised by critics for his work behind the camera in A Quiet Place.
