Mason Jar Crafts is great for kids and adults alike! There are lots of cool characters you can create and with Halloween coming up we decided to share these fun Frankenstein monster jar ideas.
But this shouldn’t be flying alone, combine with this creepy mummy mason jar vehicle to form an awesome monster duo.
How to Make a Frankenstein Mason Jar Craft
- 16 oz mason jar
- green spray paint
- black acrylic paint
- big eyes
- Hot Glue / Hot Glue Gun
- small lace brush
- black sharpie marker
Things can get a little messy, so lay out a few old newspapers before you start.
Apply mason green paint in a well-ventilated area and let it dry for a few hours or overnight.
Acrylic paints work best for small children on this project, but you may need to apply multiple coats to get the look you want.
Paint the lid rings of the mason jars black and let them dry.
Screw the black bezel back into the green jar and attach the two googly eyes to the front of the jar.
Using a black marker, draw a zigzag mouth under the eyes and a few stitches around the face.
Using a small brush, paint the mouth and dots with black paint and let the glass dry.

How to Make a Frankenstein Mason Jar Craft
16oz mason jar
Green spray paint
black acrylic paint
Big googly eyes
hot glue/hot glue gun
Small tip brush
Black Sharpie Marker
Lay out a few scraps of old newspapers before you start, as things can get a little messy.
In a well-ventilated area, spray your mason jar green paint and let it dry for several hours or overnight.
If young children are doing this project, acrylic paints work best, but you may need to apply several coats of paint to achieve the desired look.
Paint your mason jar lid ring black and let dry.
Screw your black lid ring back onto the green jar and stick 2 googly eyes on the front of the jar facing up.
Use a black marker to draw a zigzag mouth below the eyes and several stitches around the face.
Paint your mouth and dots with a small brush using black paint and let your jar dry.
