Free Nintendo Switch Rewards Let You Represent BOTW’s Raw Prime Meat

Nintendo has released new My Nintendo rewards, including one that lets you represent The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s raw prime meat. Nintendo added its new Mission & Rewards system to its Nintendo Switch Online service just a few months ago that allowed players to collect Platinum points by completing certain tasks, such as logging in and playing certain games. The points can then be exchanged for certain rewards like parts for creating custom user icons, these include avatars, backgrounds, and frames, to name a few.

Even though it was released over five years ago, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is still one of the Nintendo Switch’s most popular games. BOTW was one of the console’s launch titles and has sold over 26 million copies so far, ranking itself as the fourth highest-selling game on the platform. While BOTW is still able to hold its own even after half a decade, fans are definitely already itching to play its sequel. Unfortunately, BOTW 2 has been delayed to 2023 although that may prove to be a good thing to give the developers more time to polish the game and make it as good as its predecessor. In the meantime, these newest character icons for BOTW offer new ways for fans to express themselves.

The Nintendo of America Twitter account has announced that a new set of Breath of the Wild custom icon elements are now available for players to redeem using their My Nintendo Platinum points. One of the notable icon avatars is the Raw Prime Meat item from the game. While the item has appeared in other The Legend of Zelda games, in Breath of the Wild the item is used to make certain food items. As for the other custom icon elements that have been released, they include some of the official art from the game as well as some of its characters such as Purah. The Breath of the Wild custom icons will be available until July 4, 2022.

Additionally, Nintendo previously released Animal Crossing backgrounds for the Switch and have now also released custom icon elements for it alongside the Breath of the Wild ones, all of which can be unlocked using Platinum points. It’s unfortunate that these custom icons are only available for a limited time. It would have been better to give more players more time to collect Platinum points to obtain all of the custom icons they want.

Nonetheless, those who want to start representing Breath of the Wild’s raw prime meat should start collecting Platinum points to get it before it’s gone. Thankfully, it looks like there’s more than enough time to obtain it. It may seem like an odd choice for an icon from Nintendo, but it serves as a humorous reference to one of BOTW‘s most memorable materials.
