Genshin Impact: Perilous Trail Event & Rewards Guide
Players that log into Genshin Impact while the event is active will automatically receive the quest “The Unexpected Guest” to begin the questline, as long as they have completed its prerequisites: A New Star Approaches; Transient Dreams; Rise Up, Golden Soul; Wherefore Did The Spirit Stone Descend?; and A Teapot to Call Home: Part I. Perilous Trail requires the player to travel to the deepest part of the Chasm, where they will run into Yanfei, and eventually Itto, Kuki Shinobu, and Yelan. During the dialogue between these characters, the ground underneath everyone collapses, which results in the group falling deeper into the Chasm.
The story involves all of the characters working together to escape, and this will result in the player needing to go through a lot of dialogue, as well as completing the required Domain challenges to proceed with the story. There are four Domains that are required to complete the story, and each Domain will give the player 60 Primogems as a reward as well as Mora for completion, which can be retrieved from the event screen once completed.
When the first Domain of Lurking Peril is completed, The Unexpected Guest, the player will unlock an interactable signpost that allows them to complete the Realms of Guile and War Domains, which have three different difficulties, the first two awarding Primogems and a special currency called Moonlit Cragstone that can be spent on various rewards. The Realms of Guile and War are four different Domains that follow the same premise: a team will defeat three different waves of enemies, and then the characters of the team will be put in a Recuperation status and will be unable to be used in the next round. This will force players to utilize several of their different characters to build unique teams. There are also trial characters available, as well as Stratagems, which are buffs that players can select from for their team during that round. By completing the first Realm of Guile and War, the player will receive the Fading Twilight 4-star bow, and completing more of the challenges will reward 3 of its Refinement materials: Glowing Gems.
Players will be able to spend their Moonlit Cragstones on different rewards. These include a Crown of Insight, the 2 other Glowing Gems, weapon materials from Liyue, Liyue Talent books, Hero’s Wit, Enhancement Ore, and Mora. Perilous Trail is a limited-time event, so players should definitely complete it if they don’t want to miss out on the Fading Twilight 4-star bow or any of the other rewards in Genshin Impact‘s Version 2.7 event.
