Can’t get the code via email, SMS or voice call? try this method instead
what you need to know
- Print/Download Code: Choose from your Google Account security > code display. Sign in and scroll down to select code display > Download or print.
- Sign in with backup code: On two-step verification screen, select another try > Enter one of the 8-digit backup codes.. Please enter the code.
If your Google Account is protected by two-factor authentication (2FA), enter the code to complete sign-in. You can get this code from a text message, voice call, the Google Authenticator app, or your security key.
You may not have a mobile phone or security key. In this case, you can print a list of Google backup codes, keep them in a safe place known only to you, and log in with the backup codes. We will show you how to do it on any device.
How to Print or Download Google Backup Codes
After setting up your Google account with 2FA, print or download a backup code set.
Sign in to your Google Account and select security.

Under Join GoogleChoose two-step verification.

log in and select next.
scroll down backup code section and selection code display.

Choose Download Save a text file with your code or print Print the code.

If you downloaded the backup code from your Google Account, store it in a safe place. Also change the default name to something less obvious than the default name. backup code file name.
If you have lost your backup code or have used all your codes Get a new code. There is a list of new codes to work with and the old backup code sets are inactive.
How to log in with a backup code
If you need to sign in to your Google Account using a backup code, find the list and follow the steps below.
Sign in to any Google service, be it Gmail, Google Drive, YouTube, or any other Google service.
When the two-step verification screen appears, scroll down to another try.

Choose Enter one of the 8-digit backup codes..

Enter your backup code, then next login.

Once used, the code cannot be used again. It should be removed from the list.
