Harry Potter’s Draco & Neville Actors Reunite In Sweet New Photos
Harry Potter‘s Tom Felton, who played Draco, and Matthew Lewis, who played Neville, reunite in sweet new photos. Based on the beloved series of books by author J. K. Rowling, the Harry Potter franchise consists of eight films, with the saga’s total box office earnings now over $7.7 billion. The first film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, was released back in 2001, introducing audiences to Daniel Radcliffe’s Harry Potter, Rupert Grint’s Ron Weasley, and Emma Watson’s Hermione Granger.
In addition to the three main characters, the Harry Potter series also features a variety of supporting characters that come and go throughout the eight films. Acting as the school bully at Hogwarts throughout much of the series, Felton’s Draco Malfoy would come to play an important role in the later films as he joins forces with Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) and his followers. In many ways the polar opposite of Draco, Neville Longbottom is introduced in The Sorcerer’s Stone as the frequent target of school bullies before eventually becoming a hero himself for vanquishing Voldemort’s snake, Nagini, in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.

In a sweet new post on Instagram, Felton reveals that Lewis recently attended his play in London, and that the two were able to reunite. Felton playfully captions the photo, “When your old school mate comes to see your play and some bellend insists on taking a picture.” The funny and heartwarming caption accompanies a picture of Lewis heading into the theater, a picture of Lewis and Felton together, and finally, what appears to be a screenshot of Felton’s photo album on his phone, which features rows of the picture-taker making funny faces. Although the last Harry Potter movie was released more than 10 years ago, audiences are evidently still very passionate about the franchise and many of the actors that appeared in it. The Harry Potter cast recently reunited for the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return To Hogwarts special, which saw both Felton and Lewis (and a host of other actors from the franchise) reflect on their experiences shooting the films together. Considering that the Harry Potter films spanned a decade, it’s clear that many of the actors formed powerful bonds of friendship that continue to this day, including Felton and Lewis’.
Although the world of Harry Potter lives on in the Fantastic Beasts spinoff films, many fans are still clamoring for a revival of the main franchise with the return of Harry, Ron, Hermione, Draco, Neville, and the rest of the characters that they had come to love. It remains to be seen whether another Harry Potter film will ever happen (recent comments from Radcliffe hint that it won’t be coming anytime soon). For now, however, fans can rejoice knowing that many of their favorite actors from the movies remain friends in real life.
