Or just follow this step-by-step guide.

Print the Valentine’s Day paper box template on thicker or plain printing paper (obtained at the end of this tutorial).

Use the best colored pencils and colors in the template. This time I used red and yellow markers.

Grab your scissors and cut out the template’s frame.

You need to cut out two empty squares from the template. This rectangle becomes the “window” of the box. To make it easier to cut, you can fold the template in half and cut out the first empty square.

To cut out the second window, fold the template appropriately and cut out a second empty rectangle from the template.

Cut out two hearts and turn them over to color the other side. Make a nice incision along the dotted line through the center of each heart.

It is necessary to make sharp folds on the sides. A craft stick (or any other tool you have in your hand) can help.

Fold all covers of our box.

continue with this step

Cut a short string and tie a knot at the end. We need it when we bet our hearts on the box.

Step 4 Insert the cord (the knotted part) into the heart incision you made earlier.

Now insert a second heart (with a contralateral incision) into the heart with the cord inside.

Apply glue to the box cover.

It’s time to assemble the box. We like to close the sides without flaps. This makes closing the cube much easier.

Before closing the box, you need to glue the straps to the center of the closing side (the side without flaps). We used some duct tape to get the job done.

Apply more glue to the flaps (if necessary).

Now carefully close the box.

The paper heart box is ready.
