Chinese mobile phone brand Honor has announced the launch of its first foldable smartphone, the Magic V, which will be the company’s next flagship phone.

Information about the Magic V’s appearance is vague, but South Korean tech website The Elec mentioned that Honor’s foldable smartphone could have an 8.03-inch inner screen and a 6.45-inch cover screen. The device is said to be made of ultra-thin glass provided by electronic component manufacturer BOE Technology Group.
This form factor is similar to that of the Huawei Mate X2, which turned out to be Honor’s former parent company. However, Huawei is prohibited from doing business in the United States, and this distinction gives Honor a unique advantage.
