The steps to customize your friend emoji are almost identical in the Snapchat iOS app and the Snapchat Android app, with a few minor differences mentioned below. The following screenshot shows the iOS version.
In the Snapchat app, tap Bitmoji or your profile picture in the upper-left corner of the tab.

Bitmoji also changed
Bitmoji is an avatar that you can customize to look exactly like you on Snapchat by replacing your profile picture. It will appear next to your name in Search and Chat, and next to your profile settings and stickers in Snapshots.
You can customize Bitmoji at any time by tapping . Bitmoji in your profile settings. If you don’t have Bitmoji yet Create a bitmoji To set – otherwise tap change my clothes, Edit my Bitmoji or Choose a selfie Customize the look of an existing Bitmoji.
