If you have a channel you’ve created and want to delete it, you can delete it with just a few clicks.

Deleting a channel from Slack is permanent. Absolutely make sure you don’t need anything in that chat history before doing this. If you think you can do this, consider archiving the channel instead.

Open the Slack web or desktop client (or via a third-party group chat app like Rambox).

How to delete an archived Slack channel

Deleting a channel action in Slack for an archived channel is as easy as deleting an unarchived channel. It only takes a few extra steps.

If there is a channel you want to keep without deleting, right-click on the channel name, then more options. on top more options page, selection keep this channel Then confirm that you want to archive the channel.
