Gmail’s Default inbox density gives users the most amount of information at first glance. A small preview of attachments included in email messages will be visible. Users can simply tap on any attachment preview to pull it up onscreen within Gmail. The Comfortable density setting is very much like the default one, but the attachment previews don’t appear. The display simply adjusts fluidly depending on the device’s screen size. Compact mode, much like the name implies, will keep messages close together and essentially shows more Gmail messages on the screen. When inbox density is set to Compact, the display will stay tight-knit regardless of window size.
