Snowflakes are really special. And, as the saying goes, every snowflake is unique. So, in this How To Make Paper Snowflakes Pack (the first of many) we made a variety of paper snowflakes to capture their uniqueness. .

This pack contains 20 different snowflake designs and at the bottom of each page there is a short tutorial showing what an endpaper snowflake looks like.

We love making simple crafts, so we made sure the simple designs are good enough. All you have to do is select the items you want (or all of them, of course), print and crop the marked area. We know you love intricate designs, so we also include high-quality printable patterns!

If you prefer, you can use colored paper or plain paper and color the entire square with your favorite marker before cutting.

After learning the snowflake folding concept, kids can create their own snowflake designs to make their collection truly unique.

20 Printable Paper Snowflake Templates

Things you need:

  • Printable Paper Snowflake Template (obtained at the end of this tutorial)
  • Plain paper (the heavier the harder to cut, the lighter the better)
  • scissors

We also use craft sticks to make the folds more pronounced.

You can also decorate paper snowflakes with glitter glue to make them even more glamorous.

Follow our step-by-step guide

Choose your favorite snowflake pattern and print it (using the template at the end of the tutorial). A simple version of the instructions is included on each page, making it a great classroom project.

We used regular printing paper, but we recommend using the lightest paper for easy cutting.

Cut out a square using scissors.

First you need to fold the square in half to get a triangle.

Fold this triangle in half as shown below.

You need to fold the left and right parts of the triangle back.

Future snowflakes should look like this:

Cut off the parts you don’t need.

You can start by cutting the top of the folded snowflake.

Cut along the lines to cut out the ‘gray’ area. Areas are indicated in a brief guide at the bottom of each page.

Slowly unfold the finished snowflake.
