How to Use Google Tasks in Gmail and Google Calendar

Google’s to-do list in your inbox

Google Tasks is a free online service that lets you manage your to-do list and access it through your Google Account. It’s not quite as advanced as a dedicated to-do list, but it tracks tasks and subtasks, so it’s good enough for most needs.

The information in this article applies to the web version of Google Tasks and mobile apps for iPhone and Android smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy series and Motorola Moto.

What is Google Jobs?

Google Tasks is where you can create a list of things or tasks that need to be done and mark them when they’re done. You can create multiple lists, so you may have a list for your grocery store, a list for your hardware store, and a list of tasks you need to complete before starting a remodeling project.

Google Tasks works with Google Calendar, so tasks created for a remodeling project, for example, may have due dates.

Why do we need a Google action?

Although paper notes are the best way to go, a magnetic grocery list stuck on the fridge isn’t efficient, and sticky notes can clutter up your desk. Google Tasks is an all-in-one list-building and task organization tool, accessible if you use Google products like Gmail or Google Calendar.

Google is known for making simple, user-friendly, solid, thrill-free products that perfectly describe Google Tasks. It may not compete with apps like Todoist in terms of features, but it’s perfect if you want to keep track of your shopping list or items on your to-do list. And it’s free.

The best part is that your to-do list is in the cloud and stored on your Google computer, not yours. When you access your grocery list or to-do list from your desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone, it’s the same list. Create a shopping list on your home computer and view it on your smartphone while in the store.
