How to create a Libby account

Connect to your local library to get the most out of the Libby app. To do this, you will need your library card and associated PIN. So, if you don’t currently have an ID, visit the library before you begin.

Download the Libby app from Google Play or the App Store. Libby will guide you through the account setup process.

Choose Yes “Do you have a library card?

You have the option to search the library, but the fastest way is to enter your zip code. Choose i will find the library.

Enter a zip code, library name, or city in the search box. You can also choose to search for nearby libraries on the map. Choose a library.

Choose Enter your library account information.

Enter your library card number in the Card Number field and select next.

Enter your PIN and select It is registered.

To register your library card, you will need your card number and associated PIN. Libraries often set a PIN as the last four digits of their phone number, but you can find it by calling the library or visiting the library.

After you have successfully entered your library card number and PIN, Libby will assign you a digital library card. Choose next Access the library’s digital material collection.

How to check materials with the Libby app

Libby includes the library’s digital book and audiobook collection. You can search here just like any computer in the library, including searches by author, title, or genre. You can search and browse the entire collection or search for a specific book.

Once you’ve found what you want to borrow, you have two options: Hold or Borrow. These steps will guide you through this process.

Choose find a book Browse the library at the top of the home screen or use the main menu to browse available materials.

When you find an item you want to borrow, click on the book cover borrow.

Livi’s items are limited to a 14-day checkout period, so don’t wait too long to get this new book.
