Kevin Hart Pretends To Be Woody Harrelson In The Man From Toronto Trailer

Two professionals from opposite ends of the business world get mixed up in the official trailer for The Man From Toronto. Genre icon Jason Statham was attached to Netflix’s film alongside Kevin Hart before departing the project due to creative differences between himself and Sony Pictures. Woody Harrelson took on the role and pulled through an arduous production that began in 2020. After pandemic-related delays, the film is finally ready to debut on Netflix after the streaming company obtained the distribution rights from Sony.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Netflix shares the official trailer for The Man From Toronto ahead of its release on June 24, 2022. The hilarity ensues from the beginning when Hart’s sales consultant Teddy inadvertently bunks in the same AirBnB as the eponymous Man From Toronto (Harrelson), the world’s deadliest assassin. When Teddy adopts the Man From Toronto’s identity to avoid an awkward situation, he must work with the killer to simultaneously survive and deliver him to the FBI. Check out the trailer below:

Like The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, the last feature by Man From Toronto director Patrick Hughes, this trailer also showcases comical one-liners atop tried-and-true action set pieces. From a cargo plane fight to explosive car chases and a cringe-inducing elevator scene, The Man From Toronto bears similarities to formulaic action comedies but could excel with its all-star cast. Joining Hart and Harrelson are Ellen Barkin, Kaley Cuoco, and TV standout Lela Loren. The Man From Toronto may not change the game, but it looks like a fun summer comedy that should entertain a rocky Netflix subscriber base.
