How to make paper crafts with ladybugs
What you need:
- sky blue cardboard
- dark blue confetti
- light green paper
- dark green confetti
- plastic straws
- scissors
- glue
- large googly eyes or large paper eyes
- little googly eyes or little paper eyes
- black marker
- pencil (and an eraser to erase pencil marks later)
- black cardboard
- red paper
- circle ruler
- Compass
step-by-step instructions
flower
First, take a compass and draw a circle with a diameter of 8 cm on a light blue card.
Cut a circle with scissors.
Then glue the circle to the dark blue paper.
petal
Take a circle-shaped ruler and draw 8 petals around the light blue circle.
Draw a circle with a diameter of 3.5 cm.
In the case of a round ruler, you can draw petals freely.
Continue cutting the flowers with scissors.
pole
Cut the plastic straws into 9 cm lengths.
Wrap light green paper around the straw and secure with glue.
If there is too much paper, cut it.
Green straw is the stem of the flower.
leaf
Draw two leaves on light green paper.
Cut the leaves with scissors.
Glue the leaves to the stem as shown.
Draw a small pot on paper over the dark green paint.
Cut the pot with scissors.
Apply glue to the back of the pot and attach it to the bottom part of the stem.
Now take the stem, glue the upper part and attach the flower.
Cut a sheet of green paper (a rectangle) and use it to attach the stem.
ladybug body
Cut out the black and red circles for the ladybug.
Cut out 1/3 of the red circle and glue the rest to the black circle.
Divide the red part in half by drawing a line with a black marker and ruler.
ladybug dots
Now draw black circles in the red area, 4 on each side.
wing
Hold the ruler in the shape of a circle and draw two small circles on the red colored paper. Our circle has a diameter of 1.5 cm.
Now draw two rectangles (0.5 x 1.5 cm) that touch the circle.
Cut a circle into a square. The circle will become the wing, and the rectangle will help attach the wing to the ladybug’s body.
Make a small vertical cut (0.5 cm) in the center of the ladybug.
Cut using a compass needle.
Now slide the rectangle through this cut.
Turn the ladybug over and glue the rectangle to the black circle.
Separate the wings and pinch them slightly to make them look good.
Draw a black circle on each wing.
Take a small piece of paper/googly eye and attach it to the ladybug’s head.
antenna
Next, add two small black antennae to the ladybug’s head.
ladybug booth
Cut a light blue strip (1 cm wide and 3 cm long) and bend it into a П shape.
Next, attach the ladybug to one side of the П shape and the other side of the П shape to the flower in the center.
Wait for the glue to dry, then swing the ladybug with your index finger.
flower eyes and mouth
Add large paper/googly eyes to the flower head.
The ladybug should be between the eyes.
Draw a small black circular mouth on the flower.
Perfect!
We hope you had fun making ladybugs on flowers.
