After the price increase, the base version of the Lucid Air “Pure” is $87,400, an increase of exactly $10,000 from its previous price of $77,400. The “Touring” variant now costs $107,400 instead of the original $95,000. Finally, starting next month, the “Grand Touring” trim will be priced at $154,000, an increase of $15,000 from its previous price of $139,000. The only variant that can avoid the price increase is the “Performance” version of the Lucid Air Grand Touring, which is still priced at $179,000. Please note that this is the base price before deducting a potential $7,500 US federal tax and excludes taxes, titles, licenses, options and destination fees. Updated Canadian prices will be posted on the company’s Canadian website on 1 June.

The decision to raise the price of Lucid’s flagship electric vehicle comes weeks after Tesla’s recent price increase made lower-priced models ineligible for rebates in California. In response to growing demand from rising gasoline prices, Tesla raised prices for all EV models by up to $10,000 in March, which is the second time the company has raised prices for its entire lineup in less than a month. After all the price increases, the base Model 3 is now $46,990 excluding taxes. Electric car maker Rivian also announced price increases earlier this year, raising the price of the R1T pickup from $67,500 to $79,500 and the R1S SUV from $70,000 to $84,500. This price is still significantly lower than the price. obvious Air, which makes them relatively mainstream.
