Cox cites the addition of motorcycles as an example and talks about “a new experience that didn’t exist before” in the original game. In missions involving high-speed chases of rival gangsters, the cars you may have driven in the original game have been replaced with motorcycles to provide a new gaming experience.

“This is an example of how we’ve adapted our content to accommodate the new dynamics,” explains Cox. “Same story intro, same story outro, but in the middle the gameplay is chasing a person riding a motorcycle. Boys shoot Tommy from the back window [of the rival car] And you have to dodge them to avoid bullets.”

The interview also gives us a glimpse of the remade Mafia in a new engine for PS4, with more details on the remake’s expanded narrative design. You can read all of this and more in Hot 53 of the official PlayStation Magazine, full of the latest game previews and exclusive developer interviews.
