MeetLight could be the perfect combo of Valheim and Stardew Valley

MeetLight and Secrets of the Universe is an indie role-playing game slated for release in 2023 that combines the creation and 3D exploration of games like Valheim with characters and farms from games like Stardew Valley.

In this indie game, you take on the role of Anna, a young woman who inherits a forge she bought from her maternal uncle. During the day you build houses, craft new items, gather materials, and build farms. As night falls, head to the spirit world where you can encounter strange creatures and uncover the mysteries of the universe.

You can visit the village of Alaya Valley inhabited by NPC villagers who have their own schedule. Quests allow you to become part of the community and build trading partnerships with other characters as you advance your business.

Building Systems allows you to design wall to wall the way you want. You can create your own tools by crafting individual parts. You can also build mines in the mountains and build rail cars to transport materials (and yourself) between different locations. The RPG-style skill system allows you to develop your skills over time in different skill trees.

Even in the early footage, MeetLight looks beautiful and can stand out in a complex genre if it can deliver on the promise of this powerful mechanism.

MeetLight has come a long way for now. Coming soon to Kickstarter, but already has a Steam page. Non-PC platforms have not yet been announced.

Here are 25 New Indie Games in 2022 To stay on your radar.
