Regarding the series, creator Liam Sharp says:
For 30 years, I wanted to make my own image comics. I’ve been wanting to do a Merlin cartoon for a long time! This is the culmination of my many dreams and ambitions finally come true, making it the most exciting and personal comic book project I’ve ever done. I can’t wait to see it on the shelf!
This new series by Liam Sharp also has eight covers in the first issue. Two are by the author and six are by other artists. These include Chris Weston, Ben Templesmith, Christian Ward, Ryan Brown, Matylda McCormack-Sharp and Mike Perkins. This cover is very versatile in style and focuses on a variety of characters from the story, including Merlin and Amber Weaver, who have not yet been fully revealed.
