Everyone’s favorite Ogre is back with a real cameo on Mike Myers’ new Netflix show, The Pentaverate.
Created in a six-part series from Myers’ romantic comedy So I Married to Ax Murderer, Myers stars Myers as Ken Scarborough, a Canadian journalist who begins to expose an evil secret society known as The Pentaverate. The comedian also plays eight other characters, including a New England conspiracy theorist, far-right radio host, former Russian oligarch, former rock and roll executive, media mogul, and the tech genius who invented The Pentaverate’s supercomputer. and Shrek.
In Episode 4 (approximately 5:50), Ken finds himself escaping from a medieval city while being chased by a monster like Big Foot that the townsfolk call “Ogres of Dubrovnik”. Suddenly Shrek appears as a real walking person and steps in front of Ken. Shrek said. “I am the real goblin of Dubrovnik.” While everyone cheered, he hit Bigfoot in the head and knocked him to the floor. “Wow,” Myers said. “Thank you Shrek!” The two shake hands and Ken continues the journey.
The ludicrous moment Myers played this character 12 years after Shrek Forever after 2010 is now airing in the fifth episode of the Shrek franchise, but we still have hope.
