Taweret’s voice actor, Salib, stands next to a huge sculpted head with captions on how fun it was to portray an Egyptian goddess. Things get even more bizarre as Mark reunites with Steven and they both face Taweret. It turns out that the goddess is trying to take them to Aaru, a field of reeds, but the two convince them that they must return to the living world. To find Taweret knight of the moon‘s digital artist has obviously turned to CGI, but for a set performance, Salib completely recreated Taweret’s gigantic hippopotamus head. Marvel has used similar techniques on previous CGI characters like Hulk and Korg, and it’s nice to see the details that went into creating Taweret’s head. Being able to play Taweret on set was definitely a wonderful experience for Salib and probably improved the performance of her and her fellow actors.

When you think your audience has understood the plot, a new twist in the plot plunges you into another rabbit hole. Taweret’s addition adds another layer of excitement to the story.
