One, in particular, alleges the free-to-play battle royale’s new version will only launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. Activision’s emphasis on the next Warzone experience being built from the ground-up alongside Modern Warfare 2 could support the PC and current-gen exclusivity claim. That much will likely remain under wraps until the publisher is ready to talk shop at the end of this year.
So far, Warzone is enjoying quite the year, given its most recent and forthcoming content updates. The Season 3 update will go live on Wednesday, April 27, but players especially have their sights set on the content scheduled to go live exactly two weeks later on May 11. On this date, developer Raven Software plans to unleash Operation: Monarch, a Call of Duty: Warzone crossover starring King Kong and Godzilla. The teaser trailer that surfaced a few days ago suggests the iconic monsters will truly wreak havoc on the battlefield.
