There are now quite a few new Marvel TV shows to get a handle on. With that in mind, we’ve recapped every upcoming release date on the small screen, though be aware: these are subject to change.

Iman Vellani will play Ms. Marvel and the series is set to land on June 8, 2022, a slight delay from the original schedule. There’s even a small sizzle reel that reveals what to expect. A teaser as part of Disney Plus Day also hinted that Kamala may not have her trademark ’embiggen’ powers. Instead of being stretchy, her powers are more likely to be energy-based.
Vellani will be joined by Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Naki, Azher Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha. Interestingly, Ms. Marvel is also set to appear in 2023’s Captain Marvel sequel, officially titled The Marvels.

Previous reports had indicated that an Agatha spinoff was in the works, and now we officially know where Kathryn Hahn’s bewitching villain is heading next: she’s all set to appear in House of Harkness. WandaVision head writer Jac Schaeffer will be heading up the writing team again.
No release date yet, and we don’t even know what the show will be about. Could it be a post-WandaVision adventure? A jump back to Agatha’s Salem days? Or maybe an anthology series diving deep into the more occult side of the MCU? We wouldn’t say no to any of them.
Armor Wars

Alaqua Cox debuted as Echo in Hawkeye, which saw her out for revenge against Ronin for the death of her father. She also had a climactic showdown with Kingpin, though how that turns out remains to be seen.
In Marvel comics, Echo is a deaf woman who uses sound to perfectly copy other peoples’ movements. She’s getting her own undated spinoff, which was officially confirmed as part of the Disney Plus Day celebrations.
I Am Groot

Two Guardians projects are in the works. The first is “I Am Groot,” a series of animated shorts featuring everyone’s favorite currently-teenage twig. There’s also a Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special coming in 2022, written and directed by James Gunn.

Not much is known about Ironheart outside of the lead casting: Ironheart (aka Riri Williams) will be played by up-and-coming actor Dominique Thorne. Snowpiercer screenwriter Chinaka Hodge has also been brought on board as head writer.
In the comics, she’s very much the heir apparent to Iron Man and, in effect, could be a replacement for Robert Downey Jr. in the MCU. We should low-key be very, very excited about this one. Ironheart is also appearing in Black Panther sequel Wakanda Forever.
Loki season 2

It’s official – the trickster is returning in Loki season 2. Details are extremely thin on the ground right now, but we can expect Tom Hiddleston to come back as the eponymous God of Mischief, and Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, Owen Wilson as Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Lexus Renslayer, and Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15 seem sure bets. It’s also likely that Jonathan Majors will be involved as Kang the Conqueror, but that remains to be seen.
What we do know is that director Kate Herron will not be back to helm season 2. “I’m not returning,” she told Deadline (opens in new tab). “I always planned to be just on for this and to be honest, season 2 wasn’t in the – that’s something that just came out and I’m so excited. I’m really happy to watch it as a fan next season, but I just think I’m proud of what we did here and I’ve given it my all. I’m working on some other stuff yet to be announced.” Deadline (opens in new tab) also reported in January that head writer Michael Waldron would be back “in some capacity.”
Unfortunately, we probably can’t expect it to arrive until early 2023 at the very earliest.
Marvel Zombies

Finally, a show with brains. And lots of them.
A surprise announcement at Disney Plus Day, Marvel Zombies is a new animated series that is seemingly set to take its cues from both What If…? and the iconic 2000s comic series of the same name, written by Robert Kirkman.
Secret Invasion

The most prolific MCU actor returns! Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role as the ex-director of S.H.I.E.L.D Nick Fury. Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) is also back, while Olivia Colman and Emilia Clarke have both joined the MCU as part of the Secret Invasion series.
Sound familiar? Secret Invasion is a comic book storyline that saw several members of the Skrulls infiltrate Earth and impersonate some of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
Don’t expect it to be quite as expansive as that, however. Tempering expectations in an interview with Comic Book (opens in new tab), Feige said when asked if it would have the same amount of characters as its comic book counterpart, “Well, there were more characters in the Secret Invasion comic series than there were in Endgame so, no”
He added: “It’s not that but it very much is a showcase for Sam Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn and tapping into the paranoia elements of the Secret Invasion comic series that was great with the twists and turns that that took. So, that’s certainly our focus more than, ‘Can we cram in more characters than Endgame?’”
Secret Invasion is in production as we speak, so expect more updates on the series soon.
She-Hulk

Tatiana Maslany is She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters, a “lawyer who specializes in superhuman-oriented legal cases.” Some already think that gives a way for Daredevil to have a role in the series. Kevin Feige, meanwhile, has confirmed that the episodes will last around 30 minutes and described She-Hulk as a “legal comedy.”
But that’s not all. The cast has Hulked up in a big way. Mark Ruffalo is back as the Jade Giant, and Tim Roth’s Abomination returns from The Incredible Hulk (following a brief appearance in Shang-Chi), while Ginger Gonzaga and Renée Elise Goldsberry have also joined the cast. Jameela Jamil is also in the series, and Jessica Gao is on board as head writer with Kat Coiro and Anu Valia directing.
The first teaser for She-Hulk has been released but is only available on Disney Plus. It showcases Walters going about her day, an interaction with her cousin Bruce Banner, and a quick taste of Walters’ She-Hulk persona.
Spider-Man: Freshman Year

Spider-Man: Freshman Year sets itself apart from the other Spidey shows in the works (see below for more on those) as it’s set to be fully part of the MCU. No news yet if Tom Holland is voicing Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the animated series, though as per Marvel, the series “follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming Spider-Man in the MCU, with a journey unlike we’ve ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots.” We might even get to see how the Uncle Ben tragedy went down. Freshman Year will be written by Jeff Trammel.
Wakanda

Ryan Coogler will return to the MCU following the upcoming Black Panther sequel, titled Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Little is known about the show, but it is expected to delve deeper into the Wakandan way of life. Of course, we have yet to discover who will take on the Black Panther name following T’Challa, who won’t be recast following Chadwick Boseman’s death. We will likely not get too much more information on the Disney Plus series until after Black Panther 2 is in cinemas.
What If…? season 2

Like Loki, What If…? looks set to be a show that returns a few times. The anthology series is entirely animated, and two seasons have already been made. Could there be more after that? The possibilities are endless with this one.

Sony’s Spider-Man shows
Among the characters that Sony definitely has access to are the stable of Spider-Man heroes and villains that roam everywhere from New York City and beyond. An interconnected web of shows spinning out of Lord and Miller’s undoubtedly great track record with licensed characters (let’s not talk about Solo) could mean that Sony has the next mini-MCU on its hands.
The first of which could be Silk, with Amazon reportedly in talks to land the series. Silk will follow Cindy Moon, who ended up getting bitten by the same radioactive spider as Peter Parker. What are the odds?
Elsewhere, Sony Pictures chairman Tony Vinciquerra has confirmed that there are “five or six” Spider-Man shows currently in the works. Phew. That’s a lot of Spidey.

What we do know is that director Kate Herron will not be back to helm season 2. “I’m not returning,” she told Deadline (opens in new tab). “I always planned to be just on for this and to be honest, season 2 wasn’t in the – that’s something that just came out and I’m so excited. I’m really happy to watch it as a fan next season, but I just think I’m proud of what we did here and I’ve given it my all. I’m working on some other stuff yet to be announced.” Deadline (opens in new tab) also reported in January that head writer Michael Waldron would be back “in some capacity.”
Unfortunately, we probably can’t expect it to arrive until early 2023 at the very earliest.
Marvel Zombies

Finally, a show with brains. And lots of them.
A surprise announcement at Disney Plus Day, Marvel Zombies is a new animated series that is seemingly set to take its cues from both What If…? and the iconic 2000s comic series of the same name, written by Robert Kirkman.
Secret Invasion

The most prolific MCU actor returns! Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role as the ex-director of S.H.I.E.L.D Nick Fury. Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) is also back, while Olivia Colman and Emilia Clarke have both joined the MCU as part of the Secret Invasion series.
Sound familiar? Secret Invasion is a comic book storyline that saw several members of the Skrulls infiltrate Earth and impersonate some of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
Don’t expect it to be quite as expansive as that, however. Tempering expectations in an interview with Comic Book (opens in new tab), Feige said when asked if it would have the same amount of characters as its comic book counterpart, “Well, there were more characters in the Secret Invasion comic series than there were in Endgame so, no”
He added: “It’s not that but it very much is a showcase for Sam Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn and tapping into the paranoia elements of the Secret Invasion comic series that was great with the twists and turns that that took. So, that’s certainly our focus more than, ‘Can we cram in more characters than Endgame?’”
Secret Invasion is in production as we speak, so expect more updates on the series soon.
She-Hulk

Tatiana Maslany is She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters, a “lawyer who specializes in superhuman-oriented legal cases.” Some already think that gives a way for Daredevil to have a role in the series. Kevin Feige, meanwhile, has confirmed that the episodes will last around 30 minutes and described She-Hulk as a “legal comedy.”
But that’s not all. The cast has Hulked up in a big way. Mark Ruffalo is back as the Jade Giant, and Tim Roth’s Abomination returns from The Incredible Hulk (following a brief appearance in Shang-Chi), while Ginger Gonzaga and Renée Elise Goldsberry have also joined the cast. Jameela Jamil is also in the series, and Jessica Gao is on board as head writer with Kat Coiro and Anu Valia directing.
The first teaser for She-Hulk has been released but is only available on Disney Plus. It showcases Walters going about her day, an interaction with her cousin Bruce Banner, and a quick taste of Walters’ She-Hulk persona.
Spider-Man: Freshman Year

Spider-Man: Freshman Year sets itself apart from the other Spidey shows in the works (see below for more on those) as it’s set to be fully part of the MCU. No news yet if Tom Holland is voicing Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the animated series, though as per Marvel, the series “follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming Spider-Man in the MCU, with a journey unlike we’ve ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots.” We might even get to see how the Uncle Ben tragedy went down. Freshman Year will be written by Jeff Trammel.
Wakanda

Ryan Coogler will return to the MCU following the upcoming Black Panther sequel, titled Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Little is known about the show, but it is expected to delve deeper into the Wakandan way of life. Of course, we have yet to discover who will take on the Black Panther name following T’Challa, who won’t be recast following Chadwick Boseman’s death. We will likely not get too much more information on the Disney Plus series until after Black Panther 2 is in cinemas.
What If…? season 2

Like Loki, What If…? looks set to be a show that returns a few times. The anthology series is entirely animated, and two seasons have already been made. Could there be more after that? The possibilities are endless with this one.

Sony’s Spider-Man shows
Among the characters that Sony definitely has access to are the stable of Spider-Man heroes and villains that roam everywhere from New York City and beyond. An interconnected web of shows spinning out of Lord and Miller’s undoubtedly great track record with licensed characters (let’s not talk about Solo) could mean that Sony has the next mini-MCU on its hands.
The first of which could be Silk, with Amazon reportedly in talks to land the series. Silk will follow Cindy Moon, who ended up getting bitten by the same radioactive spider as Peter Parker. What are the odds?
Elsewhere, Sony Pictures chairman Tony Vinciquerra has confirmed that there are “five or six” Spider-Man shows currently in the works. Phew. That’s a lot of Spidey.
