New Netflix fantasy movie adds Robin Wright, Ray Winstone, and more

Robin Wright and Ray Winston have been cast in Netflix’s Damsel, a new fantasy film starring Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown.

The actress Wonder Woman, who received eight Emmy nominations for her work on the House of Cards original series, and the Sexy Beast star aren’t the only newcomers to the film either. According to Deadline, Brooke Carter (The Irregulars), Nick Robinson (Love, Simon), and Oscar nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse) have also signed on to the film, and will appear on screen alongside Angela von Brown and Black Panther, according to Deadline. with his Bassett.

Directed by Oscar-nominated film director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 weeks later), Damsel is a young woman who agrees to marry the prince and then finds out that her in-laws have actually hired her as a victim to kill an old woman to pay off her debts. Draw the story of . Her unfortunate ending only gets worse when she is thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon and has to rely on her wisdom to survive.

Brown is executive producer and Dan Mazzo of Wrath of the Titans writes the screenplay. No official release details have been released yet.

Besides Wonder Woman and House of Cards, Wright’s credits include The Girl With Dragon Tattoo, The Princess Bride, Blade Runner 2049, and Forrest Gump. Interestingly, she had previously worked with Winstone on Beowulf, and Winstone worked with Carter on Alienist. So there will be an all-out reunion when film production begins.
