These adorable little craft flowers are a great springtime craft activity for kids to do at home or in the classroom. They can be made in different sizes, so they can be used in a variety of ways.
Have students make one for each and use it as a nice springtime bulletin board. Make them a little smaller and let the kids make their own Christmas greeting cards. Or just make it for fun.
How to make paper hyacinth flowers for kids
What you need:
- Our model (optional)
- colored construction paper
- green construction paper
- scissors
- glue
- Pencil tracing template on paper (optional)

Draw the basic shapes of this DIY on construction paper (you can use a template, we will share it at the end of this tutorial).
You will need an oval for the flower, a long rectangle for the stem, and two leaf shapes. You will also need a small rectangular group that will be part of the flower.
First, glue the ends of the small rectangles together and make a small roll of paper.
Glue the paper roll to the large oval. You can either apply glue to the ellipse or apply glue to each roll of paper.
Paste them one by one.
Until you are satisfied with the shape of the paper hyacinth.
Steam the leaves. Flowers are also attached to the stem.
Let the glue dry.
