Pokemon Go Ditto guide: How to catch a Ditto in Pokemon Go

Pokemon Go too

Good luck if you’re trying to catch Ditto in Pokemon Go. Because luck is your best friend. There’s a 3% chance you’ll find one of the Ditto disguise on Pokemon Go, or at least an option that fans think is the most awaited game on Pokemon Go.

Obviously Ditto doesn’t appear as Ditto, and if caught you will only know you have it if it transforms a rather random Pokemon. The common belief is that only a small group can become Ditto, with a monthly updated list based on anecdotal catches. However, some lists are not updated, old lists are copied with new ones, and all I can say soon is that Ditto is definitely a Pokemon. somewhere.

However, focusing on the larger Ditto Disguise list and following a few basic guidelines to increase your odds will make it easier to catch Ditto in Pokemon Go. Basically, it’s important to catch as many Pokémon as possible, but good luck.

How to catch Ditto in Pokemon Go

As previously mentioned, the trainer doesn’t know if you’ve actually been caught until you’ve already caught it. The trainer must successfully catch a Pokémon that Ditto can transform into, and a catch screen will appear showing the Pokémon returning to Ditto.

Ditto only reveals himself when this succeeds. Instead of the usual ‘Gotcha’ when you can catch your creature, ‘Oh?’ Appearing over the ball, Ditto reveals his sincere and happy smile. Voila. mission accomplished.

Also, Shiny Ditto can be caught in the wild in Pokemon Go. If you come across a Shiny Pokemon that can turn Ditto into this Pokemon, it probably won’t be Ditto. However, trainers can catch Pokémon like Drowzee and become Shiny Ditto.

Pokemon Go Tips

It’s all down to luck to catch the same, but there are a few ways you can maximize your Pokemon Go time.

1. Use the nearest radar

Always keep an eye out for target Pokémon on your nearby list. They’re all relatively common Pokémon, but it’s helpful to see what’s where, especially as more and more Pokémon are added to the mix.

2. Catching the same with bait and incense

smell of pokemon go

Thanks to Sylph Lord’s confirmation, Dito can be caught with both bait and incense. If you want to stay in one place but don’t want to miss it, grab the bait and/or incense and target your list Pokemon so you know the same way, not the other way around.

3. The same applies to everyone.

Unlike Shiny Pokemon, which are completely random and not shared between fellow players, Ditto can always be found in a set Pokemon spawn. In other words, if you’re looking for Ditto and your fellow players find it, if you can get to that point, you’ll get it too. If you’re a member of the Pokemon Go Discord group, ask players in your area for updates, but do it quickly, as it won’t last long.

4. Break the lucky egg

Break the lucky egg in Pokemon Go

That doesn’t increase your chances of catching Ditto, but hunting Ditto will give you an XP stack by checking every Pokémon you encounter. Beating Lucky Eggs doubles XP for 30 minutes. The same goes for Starpiece. Now is the time to unleash your full power.

Hatch from eggs in Pokemon Go

You cannot hatch Ditto from eggs. You must catch it with the Pokeball in the above way.

Use Ditto in the gym and combat

In fact, if you have Ditto, you’ll find it has some interesting uses in the Pokémon gym. When you engage in battle, you’ll notice that it transforms into the first opponent’s form and takes that Pokémon’s move set while maintaining its own CP. However, it changes shape only once for the first opposing Pokémon it encounters, so it will stick to that Pokémon the entire time you fight in the gym.

If you want to use Ditto to battle another trainer, it will transform into your opponent’s first Pokemon, copying movement, attack and defense stats, and type. However, since it doesn’t maintain the Pokémon’s HP stats, Ditto doesn’t last as long in combat as his trainers would like.

General information about Pokemon Go Ditto

It’s just an ordinary Pokemon. Basically, you get 3 candies when you catch them, but they don’t evolve. However, like other Pokémon, you can charge it with a combination of Candy and Stardust. If you want to go for a walk with Ditto, give him candy every 3 km.

Once you get Ditto, the mission is complete! Until it appears again as a special research project inevitably. At this point, you can revisit this page to refresh your memory.

Catching a Ditto is all based on your luck but there are a few ways you can make sure you are maximising your Pokemon Go time.
1. Use your nearby radar
Always keep an eye out for the target Pokemon on your nearby list. While they are all relatively common Pokemon, it’s helpful to be able to see what’s where, especially as more and more Pokemon are added to the mix.
2. Catch Ditto with lures and incense

Thanks to confirmation from The Silph Road, you can catch a Ditto from both lures and incense. If you’re staying in the one spot but don’t want to miss out, pop on a lure and/or incense, target the list Pokemon and you might just find Ditto comes to you instead of the other way around.
3. Dittos are the same for everyone
Unlike shiny Pokemon, which are entirely random and not shared by fellow players, Ditto can always be found inside a set Pokemon spawn. This means that if you are looking for a Ditto and a fellow player finds one, if you can get to that spot, you’ll get it too. If you are subscribed to a Pokemon Go Discord group, ask players to keep you updated in your area but be fast as they won’t stay around long.
4. Crack a Lucky Egg

This won’t help your odds of catching Ditto but if you are heading out on a Ditto hunt you’ll be earning stacks of XP as you check every Pokemon you encounter. Crack a Lucky Egg and you will double this XP for half an hour. The same goes for Star Pieces. It’s time to maximise the grind, people.
