Reindeer is a really fun December craft theme, so you can get in the Christmas spirit.

We love to share Christmas craft ideas for kids big and small. It’s one of the coolest craft holidays of the year, with plenty of time for families to get together and work on creative projects together.

These construction paper reindeer are especially great as fun and adorable little DIY Christmas decorations that kids can make to decorate their home or classroom.

You can quickly build all of Santa’s reindeer and with a little imagination you can add Santa’s sleigh to create a great display.

Easy Reindeer Paper Crafts for Kids

How to make easy reindeer paper craft

Things you need:

  • brown construction paper
  • dark brown construction paper
  • red paper
  • Googly eyes or black marker or black paper for eyes
  • glue
  • scissors

Or just follow this step-by-step guide.

Fold the letter or A4 brown drawing paper in half.

Cut about 1/4 of the reindeer’s body to make it shorter.

Cut in a U shape (don’t cut the wrinkled side).

Round one or both edges.

Cut out the head shape from scrap paper (from the U shape).

Applying glue to the body – the end…

And put it on your head.

Glue or paint on the eyes.

Cut the nose out of red paper (or dark brown if you are making other reindeer).

Also cut the ears and tail out of scrap paper.

Glue the tail and ears.

Cut the horns from dark brown construction paper.

And put it on your head.

All done! I made a very easy reindeer paper craft.

Depending on the size and weight of the paper, you may have to fold the legs to stand up, but at the size we used they should stand upright.

glue

Or Follow These Step by Step Instructions

Cut out a U shape (don’t cut into the side with the fold).

Round the edges on one or both sides.

Stick on or draw the eyes.

Cut nose from red paper (or dark brown if you are making other reindeer).

Cut ears from scrap paper too as well as the tail.

All done! You have made your super simple reindeer paper craft.
Now depending on the size and weight of the paper the reindeer you might need to fold the legs at the bottom to make it stand, but using the size we used it should stand on it’s own as it is.
