This easy paper spider craft is inspired by a printable spider hand puppet, a very popular project with preschoolers. We think these two will make a great role-playing game together. There are hand puppet shows and cane puppets.
Both have shaky feet that make them really scary.

How to easily make a spider craft
What you need:
- black construction paper
- brown construction paper
- paper straws or skewers
- glue
- scissors
- googly or googly eye stickers
step-by-step instructions
cut paper
Spider legs require 8 long, thin gray sheets of paper.
You will need 3 strips of black paper, 2 thin and 1 slightly wider.
Fold one of the paper strips in half and apply glue in half.
Place a skewer or paper straw against the paper and fold it in half.
This will be our craft base.
Take one of the legs and start folding – making an accordion fold – zigzag from one side of the paper strip to the other.
Repeat with the other 7’s.
Glue the legs to the craft floor.
Roll up the remaining two pieces of black paper and attach them to the paper roll.
Apply enough glue to the floor of the spider vehicle.
Glue the paper roll to the craft mat. Large ones on the back and small ones on the front.
Add eyes.
Everything is ready. The easy spider craft is done and ready to play.

This simple paper spider craft was inspired by our printable spider hand puppet, a very popular project with kindergartners. We think these two together would actually make a wonderful pretend team – a hand puppet and a puppet on a stick.
They both have restless paws which make them really scary.
