Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Leaked Benchmarks Reveal Disappointing Performance

The results are even more disappointing when compared to the Dimensity 8000. The MediaTek chip in the Oppo K10 racked up over 191,000 points in the CPU test and more than 272,000 in the GPU test on the AnTuTu benchmark. Both are significantly higher than what Qualcomm’s upcoming chip could muster. While the initial benchmarks look far from ideal for Qualcomm, synthetic benchmark results are not always a true indicator of real-world performance, so the chip could still turn out to be better than what these leaks seem to suggest.
The report also seemingly confirms some of the key specifications of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 that were leaked earlier. According to what appears to be a screenshot of the AIDA64 diagnostic app, the chip comes with four ARM Cortex-A710 cores clocked at 2361MHz and four ARM Cortex-A510 cores clocked at up to 1804MHz. The report further claims that Qualcomm is about to start mass production of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, but there’s no word on when the first phones with the new chip will start shipping. Meanwhile, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus will also soon find its way to new flagship smartphones, and rumors suggest that it will bring some performance improvements over the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
