The Batman’s second deleted scene puts the spotlight on another villain

A second deleted scene from Batman has been revealed and reveals Colin Farrell’s future ambitions for The Penguin. This comes after the first deleted scene featuring Barry Keoghan’s Joker was released as part of the film’s interactive website.

The short clip seen below shows Selina confronting Zoe Kravitz Penguin’s Kyle at the Iceberg Lounge. That moment comes about a third of the movie.

In it, Selina asks “Oz” if she can work at club-in-a-club 44 below at Iceberg Lounge, home to Gotham’s most dangerous criminals and most corrupt elites. The deleted scene darkens after Selina turns down Penguin’s offer to take her money instead of working there.

“I know you haven’t seen it yet, babe.” said the penguin hissing. One day this city will be mine.”

The exact reason why the deleted scene was left on the floor of the cutting room is unknown, but it is a plot that will be discussed later. Batman’s HBO Max spinoff, The Penguins, is currently in production. Batman director Matt Reeves will serve as executive producer and show runners Farrell, Dylan Clark and Lauren LeFran will join the cast.

After the spinoff was officially approved, Reeves said, “It’s an absolute thrill for Colin to explode offscreen as a penguin in The Batman and to have the opportunity to thoroughly delve into this character’s inner world on HBO Max.” “Dylan and I are excited to work together to continue the story of Oz, when Lauren took power in Gotham.”

Batman is now on HBO Max. Check out the DC Release Guide for more details on the film’s secrets and key moments.
