The Flash footage reveals Michael Keaton’s Batman, Supergirl, and a returning DC villain
The first scenes from Flash were unveiled at CinemaCon, and there’s a lot to be said for Michael Keaton’s return as Batman.
While the clip was released privately, a handful of scene descriptions surfaced online.
Screen Rant revealed that Ezra Miller’s Flash begins by going back in time and seeing his mother Nora murdered.
Elsewhere, there are plenty of Keaton comebacks as the Caped Crusader. He even repeated his familiar frenzied lines from Tim Burton’s 1989 classic, “Do you want to go crazy? Let’s go crazy?” Wayne Manor was also seen riding a Batcycle while several alternative Batsuits were on display.
The CinemaCon presentation also showed Sasha Calle’s Supergirl in action and Michael Shannon’s Zod returns in a scene. According to IGN, the villain who died in Man of Steel appeared to be “flying at a very high speed” and wearing a face shield.
It will take some time to see Flash, Supergirl, Batman (including Ben Affleck’s Batman) and Zod on the big screen. Flash has been delayed from its original release date of November 4, 2022 to June 23, 2023.
Other DC movies have also changed. Also known as Aquaman and the Lost Kingdoms, Aquaman 2 will now release on March 17th, 2023. Shazam! Wrath of God has been delayed by 6 months from its June 2, 2023 release date to December 16, 2022.
