The Flash Movie Images Show Barry & Supergirl’s Costumes In Detail
The Flash and Supergirl costumes were designed by Alexandra Byrne, who is no stranger to superhero outfits, after having worked on The Avengers, Thor, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Doctor Strange. Miller, Calle, Affleck, and Keaton star in The Flash alongside Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, and Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, with Michael Shannon’s General Zod from Man of Steel also set to return. Birds of Prey and Batgirl‘s Christina Hodson penned the screenplay, based on a story by Joby Harold (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Army of the Dead.)
While these The Flash photos are the best shots of Flash and Supergirl’s respective costumes so far, it still remains unclear which version of the Girl of Steel Calle will be playing in The Flash. Even though Kara Zor-El would be a natural and obvious choice, Warner Bros., Calle, and The Flash team have generally stayed very quiet about this new Supergirl. Given her costume design, there has been speculation that not only is this a parallel universe Supergirl, but maybe a loose take on Lara Lane-Kent, from the Injustice story. Hopefully, future trailers for The Flash movie will clarify which Supergirl will join Barry Allen’s journey as he deals with alternative universes.
