The Last Of Us Image Shows Game Accurate Joel & Ellie

After years of failing to make its way to the screen, the first The Last of Us look has arrived. The HBO series is based on Naughty Dog’s video game of the same name set in a post-apocalyptic America overrun by a deadly strain of fungus mutating humans into violent creatures known as Clickers. The Last of Us centers on smuggler Joel as he takes a job escorting the teenage Ellie across the US in the hopes of finding a cure for the world.
Pedro Pascal is leading the cast of The Last of Us as Joel alongside Game of Thrones vet Bella Ramsey as Ellie, Gabriel Luna as Joel’s brother Tommy, Merle Dandridge, Jeffrey Pierce, Nico Parker, Anna Torv, Murray Bartlett, Nick Offerman and Storm Reid. Neil Druckmann, creator and director of the source game, is co-creating and writing the ten-episode series adaptation alongside Chernobyl scribe Craig Mazin. With production on The Last of Us nearing its end, those behind the show are bringing exciting news for fans of the game.
