This new Zoom feature makes meetings more fun — and it’s free

Zoom’s latest update is literally very rough. Users can now join classes or meetings as animals with a new avatar feature that makes facial expressions look even more adorable.

How to use the zoom animal avatar

1. If you haven’t already, update to Zoom 5.10. You will be prompted to update when you open the client or app, or you can get the update manually from: Zoom’s Download Center.

2. Start or join a Zoom meeting. Learn how to set up Zoom meetings and join Zoom meetings when needed.

3. Click the up arrow next to Start/Stop Video. The camera must be turned on to use the animal avatar.

4. In the Background and Effects Settings window, click the Avatar tab.
